Acclaimed Italian Producer / DJ Matisa cements her ’one to watch’ credentials with the ‘Peace Building’ EP with early support coming in from Ben UFO, Carista, Midland, Peach, Nicola Cruz, Shanti Celeste, Sally C, Midland, Moxie, Job Jobse & more.

Having studied political science for 5 years, the concept of 'Peace Building' is close to Matisa’s heart and a mantra to live by. With this in mind, Matisa wrote ‘Peace Building’ EP. Matisa says: “The world would have been different today if we would have united for love, peace, construction, and to support each other in building as allies to one another making this world a better place. I hope my music can pass on some of this ethos and we can create a better world.”

With ‘Peace Building’ EP, Rome-born and now Florence-based Matisa follows up on acclaimed releases on Optimo Music, Permanent Vacation, Biologic Records, along with a forthcoming remix for Kim Ann Foxman. Her releases have been supported by Jennifer Cardini, DJ Seinfeld, Ivan Smagghe, Dusky, Zombies in Miami, John Digweed and many others.

As well as her productions Matisa’s Sub Club SensuCast Mix from
February 2021 was chosen by Resident Advisor as ‘Mix of the Day’. Outside of the music realm, in 2018, Matisa started Fashion design and received a Masters degree in ‘Fashion Product Management’ at Polimoda; one of the top ten fashion institutes in the world.

Birmingham-based producer Ed Hodge signs his first vinyl release for tresydos records.

Fresh off the back of a Bandcamp release for Skiptrace, as well as a lush saxophone feature on White Peach, the upcoming artist is beginning to see the fruits of his dedication to all things music.

His debut vinyl works slot neatly into the sultry house aesthetic of mari.te’s tresydos imprint. The label has been a frequent face on the Trommel channels, with releases from the likes of Wil Do, Marius, and Anderson, navigating neat housey excursions with subtle influence of breakbeat, and minimalist flavours. The mix series and music platform Mantissa takes its first steps into the label space with Mantissa 001. Written and produced by a close friend to the Mantissa family, this unnamed and elusive artist has helped us launch the label with a bang with three club focused, space inspired tracks designed to decimate a dancefloor or atone for a night's shenanigans at an after's.    

Space Cadet opens the extraterrestrial affair, weaving from acoustic elements to electronic and eclectic synth lines. The A side ends with Frozen Bounce, a wobbly number, woven together with quick cuts and jerky elements. U10A, the most structured of a complex affair is a warming club tool perfect for both, beginning and finishing an evening. It's remix similarly suitable for any party specific scenario, produced by the infamously talented artist Ciel.

Premiere: Matisa 'Don't Let The Bugs Bite!'

She floated in and out of consciousness, dancing between the stars and the murky black of the dense night sky. In her wildest imagination she could not fathom the sights and sounds of this magical fantasy. Somewhere back on planet earth she could hear her children singing wildy, shouting up to her, they were trying to hell her that this was all but a mad, magnificent dream. However, it felt just as real as anything which had come before, that much was certain as she began to lose herself in the night time dance. 

Matisa is set to release a new EP on Moxie's record label On Loop - this one has already been doing the rounds in clubs and at festivals so we expect it to cause quite a stir. Fast paced house with a nod to the glory, hedonistic days of trance gone by.

A1 starts with a short eerie intro and after that they come straight to the point with an UFO electro techno stomper with vocals from Helena. The flip side is floating around with alot of echoes and delays melodies and 303s, Helenas beautiful voice and this special old school feeling. Again the artwork is done by the amazing Godspill aka Mehdi Rouchiche. Every record comes with a download code.
