The night had only just begun but already he was dreaming of the glistening stars and their pearly lights a million miles away. Like fireflies against the backdrop of black he was in his own world, his own infinity in which there was nobody else but him. It was an opportunity to escape and rejoice in the reckless freedom and carelessness of the great beyond. Some called him selfish as he danced by himself, oblivious to the shouts and conversations of others. What use were they here? What use were they to him? The great beyond called out with all he needed for the night and a lifetime to come. 

Matthieu Faubourg is set to release a house tinged EP on Strctr, an elegant, sophisticated, melodic affair which is tied up in a perfect package by Frits Wentink and Leo Pol. This one has been on regular rotation already and comes highly recommended.

George John is an undiscovered talent from Schweinfurt, Germany. He came on our radar about a year ago and when we heard his amazing talent for funky songwriting and production - we had no choice but to release his new EP: Personal Bars.

George's sound is characterised by his amazing skills on the piano as he studied Jazz from a young age. The 7 track EP is ride through his personal affiliations with Jazz, Funk, Electro and 80's Synth Wave. How familiar these genres may sound to you; George's sound is unique and unmatched in the electronic music industry. His tracks take you on a journey of groovy, melodic and harmonic sections; each track has about 4 or 5 of them - and bridges with the wildest solos played on his acoustic or Rhodes piano. Topped off with an Italo & Frenzy remix from Italian producer XXXIII, this release has all the summer Funk you need and can not be missing in your collection.

Zuntyh delivers 'Space 707' to the YUNG DUMB Records catalog to cap off summer 2020.  The France-native offers up four classically-influenced and floor-effective house numbers, varying in energy and mood, but never straying from a heavy focus on the rhythms and emotive grooves.  Jim Casanova's cameo appearance on the b-side comes with a left field club hybrid of the EP's most driven track, 'Work It', to close out the EP. Zuntyh's 'Space 707' EP is a timely mix of reflection and futurism, not to mention pure house music.

Underground duo Rein rise enigmatically out of the ether and announce themselves to the world with their first ever label release, having put out a whole host of self-released goodness in the past. The EP, titled SG002, marks the second release put out from mysterious underground label Stolen Groove.
The 4-track belter takes clear inspiration from both house and breakbeat to deliver a sound defined by original drum breaks and euphoria. Rein must be given huge credit for finding sonic originality with music that makes you just want to get back out there into the dance. Soon come. Keep your ears to the underground and you're sure to see Rein make their mark over the coming years.

On the label side of things, when Stolen Groove were pushed for more info about themselves, all that came back was the message, "There's a record thief on the loose, hide yo wax!". Despite the mystery surrounding this UK based label, their message is clear: keep your records safe and always back the underground...
