Berlin duo The/Das release their sophomore album, Exit Strategies, on Life And Death. The absorbing 12-tracker is the result of a period of searching that finds the new line-up of Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller combine multiple ideas, layers, fragments and sounds and refine their distinct idea of techno tenderness. It makes for a soothing and escapist 60 minute listen that works as well at home, on headphones, as it does loud in the club.

The crowds began to gather outside the bright red and yellow tent as the last light of the summer evening began to fade. The vast big top would soon be packed to the rafters with a vigorous crowd of onlookers looking to celebrate the intricacy and delight of the circus. In the wings the performers sat nervously, they had been preparing their performances for what had felt like an eternity. Soon it would all be over in the blink of an eye and this night too would be gone. 

Maria Rita has been a somewhat unusual presence in the sets of many this year. This is in no small part due to the commitment and genre defying exploration of Glasgow's Optimo. The "Brasileira" LP was reissued earlier this year in collaboration with Selva Discos, now both labels have teamed up once again to offer a beautiful remix package.

After a summer of beaches, beats and festival heat, Les Yeux Orange get back down to label business with a diverse disc from Poland’s finest duo. Building on that dope deep houser for Rhythm Section, Earth Trax & Newborn Jr. get collaborative all over again, delivering their finest work to date for Paris’ premier collective. Kruczyński and Brocki get right down to business on opener ‘Hypnosis’ working a rib rattling 4/4 and italo bassline into the kind of slinky synth half step that has the girls smudging their mascara and working their hips like a snake. Sultry, sweaty and drenched in echo, this electroid stepper weaves through refined breakdowns and subtle drops, a chiming melody stopping by every now and again to drench your senses in a serotonin flood.

The bubbling water was delicately peaceful amidst the cold of the midnight hour. Sat in the park there was little to be heard but for the trickling pearls which fell from the fountain up above. Sat upon a park bench it was hard to decipher the colour of the flowers which sat alongside the feature, they might be yello, pink, purple or blue for all he cared. The scenery was irrelevant at this point given the temperature of the cold winter night, he shivered and blew smoke into the air, awaiting the arrival of his woman. 

Mozaika is an up and coming musician whom has recently been adopted by the Public Possession family. His new EP titled "Aqua" has apparently been on heavy rotation by the team behind the label for some time.

Whether he is Sample Jesus, MPC-Man or just Cuthead from the block, the Dresden based artist is here to help you discovering your body’s potentials. With his latest EP “Can’t You See” for Uncanny Valley he proves himself once again as a master in producing music that is both punchy and playful. 

You might not know how it feels to be on the moon but it’s safe to say that “Lunar Lander” is an astral experience and a programmatic intro for the EP with heavy bass work and Trap Hi-Hats from space. “Can’t You See” and “Sweet” is Cuthead to the core. Warm samples are combined with hard-hitting drum work and bass lines to remember. The results are House inspired dance floor stompers which you won’t be able to resist. While “Kimono” and “Too Dark To See Tomorrow” shows off his Hip-Hop roots in typical head-nodding fashion, “Tranquility Base” is another kind of thing. Still based deeply in Hip-Hop, the track establishes a much gloomier feel with its meandering synths. Those of you that long for life-affirming House music will be very pleased with “Mount Platti”. And on “Schlagzeug fällt die Treppe runter” various sharp synths und percussions are having a party that is as infectious as it’s frisky.
