Originally from Normandy now residing in the country's capital, French DJ and producer Adam Boufeldja (aka Adam BFD) has been making a serious name for himself, having put out a string of self-released singles and curating his own self-titled Youtube channel.

Adam’s tracks have always been vivid, detailed portraits; drawing from memories and influences from around the world, and his latest EP is no exception; using his eclectic tastes to produce a record truly unique, and brimming with personality.

‘Call A Taxi’ follows suit, a fruitful marriage between shuffling drum patterns and hypnotic tones, while the track's subtle low-end provides the glue; closing off an A side that feels more like a story being told than another dance-floor memento.

The noise of industry echoed between the walls of the factory. The throb of metal buzzed hazily in the air and the bumps of machinery chundered on and on. As he paced the gangway he looked down upon his empire below, men rushed frantically in time with the speed of the production line as the warm sun beamed through the tiny windows up above. Steam rose inside this place, during the summer it got so damn hot that you could probably fry an egg. Manc1010101 was the address, this was the place all right. 

No Moon delivers a beautifully harsh EP for X-Kalay. The contrast in terms may sound odd however rough drums alongside stunning and elegant pads leaves a pretty special taste in ones mouth.

@17-Steps is a record label owned and A&R’d by Dusky. The Russian DJ “@Dimitri-Veimar” who has released in turbo recordings, Omnidisc to name a few has taken responsibility to provide the 28th EP of this label with the support of Daniel Avery.

The first track “Planet” opens up with screeching atmospherics, chuggy percussion and a brooding bassline that works its a way towards a breathless synth line perfectly suited for pre-dawn hours. While Dean Grenier’s classy stripped back and speed up flip of the title track retains a crisp four-on-the-floor rhythm tailor-made for the Berlin clubs he calls home.

On the B side, the track ‘Snowfall’ carries on where the A side left off. Electro synths and muffled breaks portray the sounds of a UFO control deck transporting the listener to an otherworldly utopia.

The closing track ‘Alps’ is a stunning downtempo club tool that ends up forming the emotional centerpiece of the EP.
