The forest was his home, he'd found peace and tranquility in the open spaces between the trees and decided long ago that he would stay. This was his safe place, his secluded kingdom in which he did not need to think about the pressures of the wild world in the city. He would lose himself in the dense green growth, wandering for hours upon end in a psychedelic haze in which time became irrelevant and solitude was supreme. The rain fell softly upon this evergreen place as he danced between the tall trees and their leafy branches. 

nthng is set to release a new LP on a Lobster Theremin affiliated sub label called Lobster Sleep Sequence. The imprint is designed to showcase ambient music and this sprawling affair from nthng makes for quite a treat described as being "inspired by the last year of the artist's life, spanning visceral dreamscapes, vulnerable aesthetics and ambient techno rhythms."

Raiders presents Queens of Club: a two-part VA celebrating the established and up-and-coming women and non-binary producers of Ghetto House, Electro, Footwork & Breakbeat. 

Astral Booty is the otherworldly, funky, left-field side of Queens of Club. 
The recurring theme is dreaminess, but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security as these tracks still slap, and will go to town on your subwoofer! 
Cute Breaks, Ghetto Techno and Playful Hardcore are just a few buzzwords that come to mind, but don’t quite do justice to the extreme diversity of sounds within.

The title pays homage to the seminal "Queens of Baltimore Club", a highly sought-after LP from various legendary female Bmore artists (like Kotton the Cutie and Mz. Thang) compiled by DJ Technics in 2001. Almost two decades later and the club scene is still a hostile environment for marginalised groups and this compilation aims to address that. Queens of Club is by women/non-binary people, right down to the mastering engineer and the artwork designers, and intended for everyone who likes to shake their ass at high speed!

Paco Weggmann joins the roster at Catwash Records with a debut original four track release EP ‘House 99’ through DJ W!LD’s underground label on 24th June 2013.  The EP fuses old school vocal samples with skipping jack drum grooves and bumping bass.  Lead track ‘House99’  captures this style perfectly with a hypnotic underground drum rhythms and looped up vocals. ‘Be As One’ takes a well known vocal line and treats it to a soulful arrangement with summer vibes throughout. The rolling bass of ‘Still Trippin’ with it’s chopped up groove pure raw vibe is a sure fire dancefloor and pool party favourite. ‘Re Inspirat’ co-written with Vali Dobrogeanu provides an alternative direction with a psychedelic groove and beat that will tear up back-rooms around the world, very deep and dark.

Alternative Fakten is a real life and digital platform that aims to bring together progressive artists and activists from all over the city of Munich and beyond. Musical releases, club nights, live shows, art shows, and panel discussions are part of our repertoire. We amp underground movements and aesthetic discourses which are deeply linked to the city. This part of its history needs to be put in the spotlight.

Alternative Fakten Vol. 2 highlights Munich’s contemporary electronic music that originates in the space in-between the city’s artworld, activist groups and club culture. 21 artists from diverse backgrounds calling out for a riseup in a world which is slowly but steadily falling apart.

As an opening act for its LP series, Dalmata Daniel presents the new album by Dutch West Coast mid-veteran Roberto Auser.

Auser has been into cinematic (or b-videomatic) electro for more than a decade now, with releases on Viewlexx, Pinkman, Gooiland Electro/Enfant Terrible and more, ranging from atmospheric and hypnotic to tight and grim, but always loaded with a vision of a storyteller. In a Dutch way, for sure. Though Second Sun is, again, an audiovisual trip, that's not the primary concept here – it's probably the purest album-like experience of Robert Auser so far, presenting most of his characteristics and sounds, and also new elements, still, all are coherent and organic parts of Auser projective language of electronics.

Second Sun starts off with a rather sinister way: a noise and industrial beat driven mood frames a subtle main theme in the background (Silent Spring), then it transforms into the highway arpeggio of the title track, just to find itself soon in the middle of tense electro by the third one. Auser unfolds some new shades here: the melancholic echoes and vocals of new school American industrial wave (Fabric of Time), the voice of cold despair returns throughout the album (Gentrified), it even embraces some vocoder pop in the mid tempo electro of Place With No Name.

Auser keeps the distance from techno in an elegant way, yet at some points touches the core of it. Passes through some well-crafted rhythmic noise with Edge of Reason (echoes of Container there) to reach an acidic club climax with the old school electro of Third Place and the ebm-techno of Entangled. Roberto Auser's post-industrial-cyber-beat-soundscapes, in the end, dissolve into three minutes of contemplative electronica: it gives us the time and space, and that's the moment when the Second Sun finally comes

Hypnotic Discotheque is a Jerusalem based DIY party night and rave crew, an artist collective and a network of DJ’s that share a common vision, in and outside of troubled Jerusalem. 

This V/A compilation is the collective’s second release following last year's WFTG VOL 1 that featured original tracks from the crew’s founding members.  

Featuring on Working for the Government VOL 2 are key figures and close relatives of the Hypnotic family such as veteran acid hero and Confused Machines label boss Mule Driver, rising electro warrior Rapha (label boss Chateau Royal) among others. 

This compilation represents Hypnotic’s wide and diverse musical and cultural identity - bringing together noise-heads, clubbers, nature dwellers and  outsiders. 

The premiered track comes from Feller - A broken house tune that represents the Hypnotic's foundational member's hybrid-mind and sample-fueled heart.

For their first release of the year Oscilla Sound hand over the reins to Baroque Sunburst co-founder and Honest Jon’s team member Big Hands. Much like the rest of Oscilla Sound's catalogue — which includes instalments from Significant Other, E-Unity and Wilhelm — intricate drum patterns and murky bass play a central role, seeing him explore organic textures, rumbling low ends and enchanting polyrhythms.
