The square was vast and wide, only a handful of people were strolling around in the cold, harsh morning air. The myriad of shops bordering the cobbles were beginning to open; awnings out and signs propped front, right and centre, advertising all manner of trinkets, treasures and memorabilia. Soon the place would be brimming with visitors from near and far, all looking for something unique to bring back home with them - for a piece of this place, a memory of a time well spent. 

After their first split-format EP with Anatolian Weapons and LINJA back in 2021, Russian imprint Serenades are returning for another, and this time its Dolphins and Odopt sharing the wax. Continuing the series' mission to connect artists from different places around the world, the release features two tracks from the project of Benedikt Frey, Markus Woernle & Nadia D'Alò as Dolphins and Grigory Nelyubin & Ivan Maslov as Odopt. Strains of downtempo, leftfield and psychedelia all interweave: there's music for losing yourself and forgetting your worries on the dance floor, and there's also sounds for introspection and deep listening.

For the first Edit of the label, @oltrefuturo edits DMX Krew´s single "The Wiggly Worm" from the 2018 EP of the same name and released via Super Rythm Trax.


For this Edit, Oltrefuturo kept the original groove while slowing it down and doing what he loves doing for his own craft: a Trance A Lento sub 100bpm, subjugating the bass and vocals curling up nicely with the subtle percussive elements.  The listener is brought straight into a cosmic realm that could be either pictured as a monk ceremony in a temple in the Himalaya or a transcendental dance of the incas on top of the Machu Piccu. 

In the andante, we believe. Opening or closing : this is your call.

Meet Regulardisco’s second compilation: bigger and juicier than ever. As always, we aim to showcase the bright side of the Ukrainian electronic scene — one that doesn’t often get the spotlight — while raising funds for the needs of Ukrainian defenders.

This time, alongside Ukrainian artists based both in Ukraine and around the world, we’ve invited some international guests: Hola Olas (Belgium), Martin Zetta (Brazil), and Good Catch (United Kingdom).

This compilation is truly a multi-genre piece, telling a story that flows smoothly from leftfield, rather abstract music to indie dance, with a detailed stop at Italo, space disco, and dark disco. From there, we journey through Chicago house and acid house, before ending with fast, dreamy progressive house seasoned with a breakbeat flavor.

Our summer 2025 addition to the Edit Series comes from @arashandquasar

In his own words, The song “Otdavali Molodu” (“They Gave the Young Bride Away”) is one of the first and most striking hits by the Soviet VIA (Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble) “Ariel,” arranged by Valery Yarushin based on a traditional Russian folk tune. The foundation of the piece is a traditional folk melody, but Yarushin infused it with rock intonations, which gave the ensemble its distinctive and recognizable style. Thanks to this song, Yarushin earned the respect of rock musicians, folk enthusiasts, and even academic audiences.

Why is the song important?

It’s a perfect example of the synthesis between folk motifs and modern musical forms: folklore + rock, an unconventional genre for a VIA. The song captures the spirit of its time, the 1970s, the heyday of Soviet folk rock and a period of musical boldness.

Thanks to this track, “Ariel” transcended the borders of Chelyabinsk and even the USSR, becoming recognized both across Eastern Europe and within the Soviet Union.

“Otdavali Molodu” is not just a hit by “Ariel” — it’s a symbol of an entire era: the beginning of the ensemble’s musical evolution, a successful example of folk-rock fusion, and a song that truly influenced listeners and the development of the Soviet music scene.
