Especial and Giraffi Dog return with 2nd part of their concept EPs of live / studio collaboration.  Digging deep they present Multiverse (Infinite 2), bringing their live showcase to vinyl – the completion of the duality of your innerspace, now unconstrained for outerspace.

The forced hiatus to their live experience hopefully over, the final EP comes in two parts, a real-time live recording, followed by more studio reimagining to close.  To start, 6th Chakra is pure Giraffi Dog.  Featuring Doom Chakra Tapes founder, DJ Deflektorschild, this rough and spacey opener is a breaks-mantra, the third eye open, Ajna flowing intuition, realisation and imagination. Recorded live at the Warning Festival 2022, promoters and label compadres offered the perfect platform to showcase the Dog’s energy as the meeting of MPCs, drum machines, synth, loops, FX and more morphs to present the mind-modulating King OTN as the party set peaks.  

Again cut as a continuous mix, Anagh lifts to DX Metero.  Floating, spinning, ethereal, before piano introduces Starfather, the skyward ending.  Hopeful, melancholy - bywords of Especial on it’s meandering journey.  A long time due but worth the wait, Giraffi Dog beamed live and direct, watch those stars.

R$N Records are hyped to launch new sub-label, Dance Music From Planet Earth, with a compilation of rave heritage: Richard Sen presents Dream The Dream: UK Techno, House and Breakbeat 1990-1994. First single, Amaranth - Love Lies Bleeding - Bandulu, was first released on Infonet in ’92: Italo synth samples, vibes and ambient techno all thrown into the mix. Bandulu were 90s UK techno pioneers who collaborated with Carl Craig & alongside Detroit producers, their vision of techno music was influenced by UK reggae soundsystem culture combined with NYC Zulu Nation Hip-Hop & graffiti culture.

Platte International delivers a new four-track EP by Wareika’s Jakob Seidensticker & Melina this April, accompanied by a remix from Even Drones and entitled ‘Kein Ufo’.
Berlin’s Platte International imprint has firmly cemented itself as a staple of the underground electronic music scene over the past decade through releases from the likes of label co-founders Kareem and Peter Schumann,Franklin De Costa’s DCNT guise, Rydim, Smallville’s Christopher Rau and many more. 
Here, the label welcomes Jakob Seidensticker, a member of the Perlon trio Wareika, alongside Melina. The pair have previously released on the much-loved Frankfurt, Germany based label Housewax and here their collaborative story continues.

‘Kein Ufo’ leads the way and sees Jakob and Melina offer up crisp shuffled percussion, swirling subs, trippedout resonant synth swells and choppy bass tones to create a dynamic and hypnotic nine-minute groove.
‘Matcha’ follows next and dives deeper via winding ethereal synth textures, bright stab sequences and a raw,dusty drum groove.
Opening the flip side, Berlin duo Even Drones rework ‘Kein Ufo’ with their ‘Third Encounter Remix’, offering up their signature experimental style and twisting the original into a broken beat workout with murky bass and twisted fragments of the original throughout. ‘La Boom’ then rounds out the release through an amalgamation of organic drums, a bumpy bass line and jazzy keys.

Manchester band RSL reform and release their award-winning vinyl album ‘Every Preston Guild’ digitally for the first time! RSL got together 20 years ago and was founded by bassist Joe Botham, keys player Martin Almond and drummer Chas Morrison, after meeting mid-90s during the explosion of house, hip hop, and drum & bass. Despite spending most of their time locked away in a studio, they dipped into the eclectic club life of post-indie Manchester. Both Joe and Martin studied music and orchestration at Salford University while Chas’ musical career started early, signing to Tony Wilson’s Factory Records. The music they created was something you would more likely expect to hear coming out of Southern Spain or Spanish Harlem, combining jazz sensibilities with uplifting driving beats, heavy percussion, soaring vocals, dark brass, and touches of deep flamenco brought together with classic vintage production. 
Fast forward to 2023, RSL digitally release their 2003 album – only ever out on vinyl before - that includes the spiritual house anthem ‘Wesley Music’ on its 20th Anniversary. The track was voted ‘Track of The Year’ by listeners of Gilles Peterson's 2003 Worldwide Show on Radio 1. The followup single ‘The Mast’ was also an underground hit, being licensed around the world for multiple compilations, including Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide series, Village Records and Dave Lee’s - In the House.
On Friday 14th July - ahead of the full digital album release on 4th August - the band will make the single ‘The Mast’available to stream and download. The single will be released exclusively on Bandcamp as a remix package, with all its component parts provided. Fans or producers alike will be able to download and remix or re-edit the track as they wish, whether that be for fun, or as a DJ tool. In addition, the original 8piece line-up is playing at We Out Here Festival, Blues Kitchen, Manchester, and the Jazz café.  Finally, back in time some hefty remixes were done of ‘The Mast’ and‘Wesley Music’ by the mighty King Britt & Danny Krivit. We have included them in your promo package!

For our second round of WUB, we've dug deep into the vaults of two old friends from the west. Warning co-founder DJ Normal 4 and day one regular Bufiman, both beloved for their individual work but also legendary for their 2017 collaborative The 5 Elements EP on Aiwo Rec.

Now, two extensive recordings from the same period have been unearthed and finally brought to the light they deserve. While Begleitautomatik takes you on a wild ride through breakbeats, balearic and peak time acid fire, you'll get a deep trip on Das Untere Manual - their very own take on dub techno.

There was dense thick greenery upon the hillside. Scattered in amongst the growth were little flowers which danced here and there – peacefully and softly against a wild backdrop of deep green. He was sat in the park down below, watching and wondering about why it was that he was here and not some place else in a different time. Sometimes it seemed as though he was the odd one out – a little bit wild in an otherwise mundane world.

In the shadow of the oleander he pondered these things – trying to piece together the what and why of his very being for it made no sense and seemed so impossible to unravel from within its own chaos.

At least the sun was out, that was something, that was nice…

The mountain was calling out to them from up above, it were as if the peaks themselves were demanding that they be climbed and conquered so as there may be no stone left unturned by man. The clouds hovered thick around each pointed top, in the distance they watched as eagles soared high. It was easy for them, without such fear of falling.

The morning air was cold and brisk as they watched from the riverbank beneath, it seemed an awfully long way up and a very far way to go. Was it worth the risk? To who would their effort be worth?

Soon they would pack up and depart, taking with them all that they could carry. For it was right to leave no trace and heaven forbid they upset the whimsical power of the mountain to crush them beneath its might and weight at any time.

Gem Wallow is set to release a new EP on Barcelona based record label Playground . The record features a fun assortment of downtempo tracks with a pensive slow moving ambience which is almost ritualistic. It's rounded off by remixes from Simple Symnetry and Francis Inferno Orchestra.

Tokyo based Yuto Takei's latest work is an assortment of numbers that represents fairly well his versatility as a music maker. His capability of painting afterglow soundscapes with a cinematic approach is counterpoised by an almost obsessive interest in percussive experiments. The sparse presence of subtle natural field recordings together with vast open sonic spaces is recurrently sustained by repetitive semi-artificial and frantic cosmic repetitions. Comes with a riso-printed insert, handstamped innersleeve, and a label sticker.
