The prize was grand, the competition fierce. As he stood upon the asphalt he questioned whether he was fast enough, strong enough or tough enough to contest with the pace and resolve of the other runners. He shivered, he should not have such doubts at a time of such importance, now was not about them but the finish line. They took their positions in lane, ready to run rugged and wild at the sound of the gun. Five, four, three, two, one...

Super Tuff Records are readying themselves to release a four track split EP packed with a delightful array of deep house. The label and party series operates out of Brooklyn in New York.

The waves rumbled across the globe as the satelitte watched from up above. It looked down upon the distant earth, removed from civil life and the interactions of day to day life. Yet it controlled them all, from Shanghai to London, Berlin to New York the radio waves would call amidst the morning light. 

Bokeh Versions returns with a new release from Rer Repeter who reveals a delicious assortment of dub and low end electronics.

French-born Berlin-based duo @nummer dish out a proper feel-good tropical melter blazing with suave afro-funk hooks and dubbed-out guitar riffs amidst other rousing vibraphone melodies, enticing cowbells and cosmic arpeggios on rewind. Like setting up an improvised party in some idyllic, sun-bathed rainforest clearing, pleasantly hedged in by the fluid force of magic cascades, chlorophyllian green and the euphonic charm of multicoloured bird songs. Warm and sensuous tribal house groover in full effect.

Nummer's Tribute [Fragil Musique]

Known more for their dubby 'kosmische' and psychedelic post-disko, Glasgow label Invisible Inc seem to be wandering closer to the realms of the nightclub dancefloor these days. Not that anyone's complaining. With recent outings by Strange Culture and Sordid Sound System taking the lead, this one by Budapest's Bal5000 is quite possibly their most dancefloor friendly release yet.

Brainwaltzera debuts on FILM. The anonymous producer, whose work has has already received online approval from legendary british IDM auteur aphex twin, offers up an extended EP for the berlin based imprint. In 2015 a soundcloud profile under the name user18081971 - now identified as belonging to richard d. james, commented on curious Brainwaltzera upload quilat spring 1 [outtake]. The move prompted speculation as to who exactly is behind the music. Exquisitely produced and executed in such fine fashion so as to decry pure imitation - there’s plenty to theorise here. Regardless of their true creator - which will undoubtedly remain a secret for the time being, the compositions on FILM006 are of similarly high calibre. Varied in approach and marrying both electronic & acoustic elements with ease, the six tracks that comprise the record range from yearning ambient segues and dreamy down tempo grooves to otherworldly krautrock and more direct, dance floor fare - but remain bound tight as a cohesive and functional body of work by a glorious, arcane musicality. whether weaving soft electronic tones in and amongst snappy breaks or detuned drum-machine strikes, the artist’s ear for acoustic harmony is perhaps the pervading theme across the six tracks that make up the aecoba EP, marking it out as an excellent addition to the FILM label’s growing catalogue. PREMIERE : John Horton - Illume

The jungle was swamped with rogues and tyrants. Between the trees their warwhoops echoed, at least so his head indicated. Popping the pill he had entered a world of 2mg delirium, a chaotic blur of colours and mystical landscapes. What was real or make believe was now far beyond comprehension as his feet pedalled quickly beneath him. The forest floor was damp and moist beneath the pouring rain and his shoes squelched in the marshy ground. 

Reptant is set to release a new EP on Tomahawk Records in the form of "Night Time Creepin". Intelligent techno with a disorientated edge.

Sat within were two men, cloaked and equipped for the long journey which lay before them. This would take a long time. 

Steevio is set to release a new EP on Eye Shadow, the third in their catalogue. Intricate techno with a dusty twist.

A nation was built upon this crystal speck, its taste delicate to the tongue and the user addicted to its glorious novelty. Sticky and luxurious it offered a taste sensation unlike little else and those who frequently succumbed to the delicious dot were left hypnotised by its lease of life. 

Brighton based producer Tech Support makes a debut appearance on the newly launched Homage record label. The NYC based party come label is set to release its first EP, a delicious blend of disco and house.

The shop was incredibly busy. The queues rampant and long. Much deliberation had gone into the organisation and conceptual build of the setup, however few had expected that they might be pedalling hundreds of thousands out of the door and onto the streets. All for a glimpse of the rarity which was gold silk, a garment so beautiful that it had caused social uprising and riotous behaviour. The day was young but few would last long enough to gain vision. 

Tendts are a Greek duo who are set to release a new EP on Lower Parts. Intergalactic soundscapes aplenty and beautiful bewilderment.
