Italian producer Hydergine revisits and refines an important early piece from his past. A decade on from its initial release, now includes remixes from a pair of legendary techno names. A decade ago as Hydergines career was taking hold, his very first EP was released to the world. On that record featured the B-side, >Augmented Reality<. A highly addictive and fairly straightforward track, it showed the talent that Hydergine possesses and the gift he has to make the ordinary formula, extraordinary. As the years went on, this track seemed to take on a life if its own as a fan favorite. Now, Hydergine re-acquaints himself to the original piece but also fine tunes the parts to meet his new expectations of what it could be now. A signature point in his early career, Hydergine was able to secure two of his favorite producers to give their own unique interpretations. For the remixes, Bvdub and Fluxion honor the original with their own standout signature movements. The mighty talent of Fluxion (Konstantinos Soublis) takes the remix to forge the ideal dub techno club track. A strong bass drum immediately grabs your attention while he hones in the static to create catchy melodic elements throughout. Bvdub flips the original on its head creating a stunning edition that serves like a secret door passage to further the intentions to what could be. With a total running time nearing 18 minutes, the track is grande in scale with voices like angels drenched in echoes. Beautiful and soaring to the point of goosebumps. Ideepsum, Sublee’s debut album, finds its home under the Metereze name. The 6 tracks are spread across 2 records like seeds sharing the same fertile ground embodied in Sublee’s creativity.

The album opens up with Yet Again, with its synthetic voices morphing back and forth into the track’s melodic line. Side B hosts 2 cuts meant to drain all the energy off the dancefloor: Entre’s obsessive spoken words, echoing deep into the techy structure, and Rumbletrouble elusive acid references that matches its pure techno roots like magic. After we let ourselves led by the riveting bassline through Road To Frequensea’s playfully deep melodic lines, we hit the final chapter of this LP: Space Dive, a deep interlude into some cosmic electro future, and Mimistake, rolling full throttle into a chopped soundscape filled with heavy techno patterns.

Indeepsum stays in line with the previous Metereze releases, following the road of innovations in the vast realm of electronic music.

This superb offering from the mighty label Quintessentials, sees Glaswegian producer OOFT! (Ali Herron) mix the aptly titled track ‘Freak-E Groove (Proto House Mix)’. This chic 80’s disco moment of synthy splendour is a party piece - a fabulously fitting way to dance into the labels 10th year releasing bangers from artist all over the globe.

O0FT! expertly layers his music, with the use of echoing husky vocals breathing in at opportune times, sounding trim and crisp. Exploring the avenues of disco music, he places claps and high hats perfectly across the page whilst keeping the cowbells going along with the classy groove. The distorted sirens that build and form out of a curved synthy line subtly emerge creating a trippy mirage of sound as you move through the melody - bringing together an artist and label who understand and deliver raw deep house music every time!

The package fell abruptly from the letterbox to the floor and skidded across the empty room. Outside a rustling could be heard but by the time he reached the handle the culprit would be long gone, who knew what lay inside the mysterious parcel? He plodded across the wooden floorboards, which creaked and echoed as he went. Inside thius old house he rarely received post or correspondence, let alone the type of bubblebag mail that had just landed in his hallway. What could it be and who had the intent to reach him amidst such a far away place?
