Running through the undergrowth he bumped and clattered against stray branches and loose rocks. He was nearly at the foot of the mountain and whatever had been chasing him would now hopefully scraper away into the abyss behind him. It was dark and the stars flickered in the deep black sky up above. In the distance he could see the lake where he had parked his car, he couldn't be far now. Letting out a deep breath he upped his pace as he approached a clearing in the trees, behind him he could still hear the rumble and rattle of what had chased him down the mountain..
