Stepping into the virtual ring Berlin artist Jennifer Touch knocks you off your feet with her contribution for the art:cast series – a blissful mixture of darker discoid sounds paired with her signature IDM-note and some sweet Acid bleeps, but foremost the multi-talented Jennifer delivers a straight four to the floor mix, or an almost forgotten feeling of club night tales in dark and sweaty rooms. As ecclectic as her productions, and Jennifer spoilt her beloved followers with the release of her Behind the Wall album on Fat Cat as well as a track on Riotvan's Familiar Faces N°. 3 in spring, she now has compiled the soundtrack for your fall-madness. Being more than a homage to a night out, the latest art:cast morever tells the story of skilfully blending music, deep and raw, together still remaining true to her style.

Humanity's footprints are everywhere to be seen, from the cities and the towns to the oceans and the sky. New materials and technologies have guided a long path to destruction; a path that will continue far into the future. Though its impact has increasingly come into plain view, when will collective action be taken to prevent it?

A firm favourite of Sean Johnston and the late, great Andrew Weatherall, Berlin-based producer Señora has become known for his unique approach to sound design, merging organic grooves with sonic experimentation and oddball effects. Following releases on Shango Records, Night Noise and LNDKHN he makes his return to Lurid Music, the label he debuted on back in 2017, for his first long player titled Fósil. Across the nine expertly crafted compositions he reflects on "the next evolutionary steps of the human race", realised through cinematic and evocative soundscapes punctuated by otherworldly sounds and undulating rhythms.

We’re delighted to welcome @AkkanLife as the latest instalment to the Sinchi & Friends series. The Spanish duo consisting of @BeGun and Ocellot  (@discoslagabia) are a production partnership who came together after a magic mushroom psychotropic journey in the Kalahari Desert, which is clearly reflected in their sounds that build upon idiosyncratic / trippy melodies and ethnic rhythms. They are now at the dawn of releasing their debut album on Barcelona’s @Foehn-Records which is coming out on the 4th December (Pre-order available here - https://akkan.lnk.to/AKKAN) . So we caught up with the guys to find out more about the album, their year and more.

Returning to Not An Animal for the first time in 3 years, Ian Blevins crashes in with a massive EP that results in some dreamy electronica primed for the dance. 

The Lobster Who Was Criminally Insane loads up the A1 with a track that veers towards the progressive house formula, whilst building on the more natural electronic blueprints. It’s rigorous and deadly, as synths build the pressure and detonate with devastating effects. 

Discodromo make their NAAR debut with a destructive remix of The Lobster Who Was Criminally Insane. Stripping the track down and driving it down a more percussive avenue, the leads melodies are used to create an immense breakdown with epic results.

Air Penguin carries on the same vibe as a refined mid-set floor filler, with an illustrious canopy of dreamy synths and counter melodies that rattle subs across the globe. 

Chida finishes off the 12" with his welcome return to the label with another remix that does the damage. Bringing the more offensive elements of the track, it takes the atmosphere and runs with it, adding some immense tension but remaining focused on the floor.

To close, The Lobster Who Was Criminally Insane (Beatless Mix) serves as the digital bonus, showing how a track can be made for the dance-floor without any percussion.

The stars seemed to sparkle more than ever tonight: perhaps there was romance in the air. From the comfort of their space ship they gazed out of the window, watching the cosmos move around them. It was the perfect setting for their date: a night they would surely never forget — or possibly never remember...

For more than a decade, French outfit RÜBA KPØ have been channeling their blend of analogue synthesis, sound effects, drumwork and vocals with their shared passion for electronic music. Following an EP earlier this year on Sonar Kollectiv, the four piece group embark on something of a rebrand with a new five track EP titled Arengue for RKRS Recordings. After turning their attentions to their radio show over the last few years as well as working on their live act, they now fully stretch their musical legs on this EP, pulling at strains of jazz, bass, cold wave and happy house.

Rotterdam reputable libertine, Nous'klaer Audio mainstay and warmly welcomed at Something Happening Somewhere artist Mattheis returns to the Utrecht label and contributes a tight track to the label's latest spheric sound exhibition, namely Somewhere IV. t8 is holding onto a likewise considerable melody that's as impressive as those pictures it evokes of crystal clear rough gems – being one itself. Stretched or looped over nine minutes Mattheis created a unique sequence of sounds that burn into one's mind with such precision it feels like a melodic cut through the brain, stimulating and easing the listnener meanwhile and making it realize the beauty of this cohesive colorful composition.

The bell sounded through the corridors, quickly followed by the flinging open of doors one after another. Excited laughter rang loudly around the school, followed by the charge of small feet as they scrambled for the door. For most the end of term meant freedom, fun and new experiences. It meant time spent with family and friends, time spent visiting new places and spaces. But that wasn't the case for some; quite the opposite. School was their only sanctuary.

Hot on the heels of Ed Dix's EP, Playground Records welcome a newcomer to the family, Roam Records and Wonder Stories alumni John Parsley. For his label debut - which also features two remixes from Bird Of Paradise and Local Suicide & Time To Sleep - he brings several different flavours to the table. Levelled up dancefloor rhythms peppered with acid lines and electro arpeggios open proceedings, followed by tension inducing beats that marry distorted sounds with celestial sounds, and intense, downtempo breaks layered with eerie atmospheres and metallic modulations.
