Lithuania is undoubtedly one of the countries leading the direction of contemporary dance electronics for some time. We are happy that we can give space to their young promising DJs in our podcast.

Born and raised by the Vilnius atmosphere, Roudtraxx has been part of the local underground club scene for several years. He is part of the well-known record store and label Discotag, where he has plenty of opportunities to devote himself, as he says, to his musical obsession.

For us, he has prepared a selection of his favourite club tracks. It is up to you to decide what a fresh breeze sounds like from a distant land.

The boldly titled new release on Nous’Klaer might not sound like what you expect. ‘Trance Unlimited’ is a four-track-run full of kicks and curiosities, crafted by dj/musician/label owner Benedikt Frey. Though this versatile producer is new to the label, he sounds perfectly at ease, providing us with a warm and balanced 12 inch for dancefloor fun and bumpy road trips. 

After releases on Hivern Discs, Live At Robert Johnson and his own Love Pain Sunshine & Rain, Benedikt Frey explores new rhythmic ranges and phasing patterns on this EP. Whilst all tracks are dancefloor-ready, it’s the A2 that’s the raving giant: Trance Unlimited.

The perfect rhythm of works of art and culture, captured even in the unconscious race, speaks of the rhythm of stars, galaxies within molecules, cellular life, and all this moves in the great rhythm of the spheres in the silence of the flame, which is an eternal movement of all existing things. Creation is based on the mathematical formula of rhythm and harmony.
One of our favorities Montreal based Chambre Noire is back with its second release from Québecois artist Vromb, a veteran producer around since the mid-90s, known in particular for his releases on Ant-Zen. Over the course of five tracks on vinyl (six in the digital version), the artist’s sounds seem to take on physical shapes, like living origami: constantly mutating as they open, close and transform into something else. With attention to movement and boundary-challenging textures, this EP is ready to ensnare listeners in a variety of contexts, from club environments to more contemplative environments.
Our pick up is the opening track - Rythme Centrique, slow-paced tune, nonetheless full of movement, with its melodic and percussive elements in perpetual motion. Dark, brooding, plodding, and constantly evolving, this tune with a robust rhythmic section and a tripped-out atmosphere caters to body and mind alike.

Wasted Space w/ Coolant Bowser - Netil Radio - September 20

Wosto was born in 1980 in Geseke (a small town near in „Wostfalia“) and he got no wife, no childen and no car. In the beginning of the 90ths he was a famous ice skater under the moniker RED FLAME. After an accident in 1995 and an identity crisis he started to collect records and began to work as a DJ for a fairground ride. Wosto and his gang G TOWN BEATS were discovered by the club owner Travolta Michele and they started to do DJ sets in the club KLIMBIM in Geseke. 19,994 of the 20,000 inhabitants of Geseke weren`t interested in the music of the gang and so in 2004 the boys escaped to Hamburg. In 2013 Wosto and his best friend Kluentah founded FALLBEIL. So far they released 10 vinyl records on different labels all over the world. In 2017 Wosto and the two members of NOSTAGIE ÉTERNELLE started the trio SAUERSTOFFF. Wosto is also releasing solo records and is running his own vinyl label - TEERPAPPE.

The voices echoed in his head, they told him stories. It was late at night and as he walked down the street beneath the glow of the street lights and their hazy warm orange glow he sighed to himself. His breath fogged in the dark evening air, he looked outwards at the people who walked before him and wondered where they were headed. This was not a good time but a time nonetheless. For that was all it ever could be wasn't it? The stars danced up above as he kept on moving, shuffling through the night. 

Serb appears on a new 12" from Night Defined Recordings, a label which stays true to the underground showcasing experimental electronic music at its finest. Some of it is built for the clubs, some ain't. It's all good though and comes highly recommended.
