Belgian artist & producer Kris Vanderheyden has been a tour de force on the electronic music landscape ever since careering onto the scene in the early 1990s.  A regular collaborator with CJ Bolland (co-writing the landmark ‘The 4th Sign’ album release, as well as on the huge singles ‘Sugar Is Sweeter’ and ‘The Prophet’) as well as remixing global stars Blondie and Janet Jackson, Vanderheyden has also been knocking out bona fide rave classics under the Insider moniker.

Having already fired out releases for esteemed imprints such as Cocoon many big Belgian techno labels over the last three decades, ‘Something Flash’ surprisingly Insider’s first release for R&S Records under this alias. And the wait is most definitely worth it, as a rollicking club banger is put together, as Insider bares his teeth for a fusion of slamming, kinetic techno and pumping dancefloor grooves delivered with punk attitude.

Macho Diva is the anarchic queer electro-wave project of Mima and Spacemaker. After five years of live gigs, doubt, activism, sadness, and revolt, the comrades of Macho Diva release their much-anticipated mini album Fetishista Kommunista.
A musical troika supported the creation of this great release: Vive la Fête remixed two tracks with great results, Rude 66 was also on remix duty and delivered a smashing electro-disco punk mix. All other tracks are produced by Venderstrooik.

I'm a Cliché comes back again!
After CV’s double Special Delivery LP released in 2018, Edit Service is back with its fifth release, an EP of edits by the young Moscovite duo known as Ólta Karawane, noticed for their edits on Maturre and Discos Capablanca. We’ve been playing their edits very often lately, so it seemed natural to release them on Edit Service.
Edit Service 005 with five amazing tracks on it about to come out later this June on the vinyl and on digital in October.
Opening the EP is this early 80’s antipodean cut somewhere between new wave and post-punk where a shopping list is recited by a male and a female voice engaged in call and response. Innocent and catchy on the surface with its electric keyboard, primitive drum machine and bass guitar, it seems there is something perverse lurking within this tune.

One of the few artists signed to the first-ever Palestinian techno label, Harara (the Arabic word for 'passion', 'heat'), Toulouse-based freedom-through-sound activist @arabianpanther is about to make some waves with his debut solo effort for Lyon's @bluenightjungle.

The cassette is a limited edition white tape with bespoke artwork made on letterpress with hot metal type by The Print Project in Shipley, U.K.

@pasiphax a fast rising star operating from the Hague. Her approach to DJing is energetic & open-minded with a similarly personal approach to music making. 

Pasiphae’s rise over the last three years has been remarkable. Alongside a celebrated solo debut EP on Interstellar Funk’s Artificial Dance label there have been appearances behind the decks of such celebrated clubs and festivals as Tresor and Sameheads in Berlin, De School, BAR, The Crave and Intergalactic FM Festival in The Hague, the Dekmantel festivals, D.O.G.S Milan, Kaiku in Helsinki, DYN Mexico City, Good Room in New York & the Private Selection warehouse rave in Los Angeles to name a few.

By her own admission, it can be difficult to pin down her DJ sets and productions. They're pleasantly unpredictable & often exploring different mixtures of intensity. Pasiphae has broad tastes and more often than not her sets brilliantly join the dots between styles in an energetic, forthright manner inspired by her own love of dancing all night. The music she mixes is sometimes raw, dark and percussive & synth-heavy, at other times spaced-out, colorful & euphoric. Throughout, you can expect sweaty thrills aplenty and bags of rhythmic energy.
