After the funky summer release ‘Deep In’ by Stephen Brown, Technorama records continues to promote diversity & quality music. They are back this time in the ‘electro game’ with this superb release by the French specialist Dynarec. 

Sometimes you have artists that can electroshock you with a very good 12" and then after that they are not able to satisfy your expectations. Dynarec is one of those who is capable to impress each and every time that he delivers a release. Coming from France, Dynarec improves on even the most advanced experimental electro as no one did before, giving it depth, awareness and knowledge, making it more rigid and linear. A journey into those post Drexciya atmospheres which reach some of the highest moments in a new Electro history….. Romantic and complex, rich in detail and unlikely to be imitated or surpassed by others on the contemporary new electro scene. 

Released in 2007 on Vapourwave, the electro anthem ’In Your Hand’ by Dynarec is back here on a remastered version + a new modern reinterpretation by himself. You can find here also a beautiful remixes by The Exaltics and the unstoppable Voiski, enjoy !

Aos’ boundless love for music is apparent in everything she does. As a producer, a DJ, and an event organizer with Seattle’s secondnature and TUF collectives, Kayla Waldorf’s vision eschews traditional categories and genre boxes in favor of an ecstatic spontaneity. Her DJ sets are well known for their playful energy and narrative threading between many different styles. Violent Light is Aos’ first offering on secondnature’s own label, and it captures this playful essence.

The title track’s stomping groove (complete with rave whistle) sets the tone, while Lullaby and What/Why move into headier territory composed of dusty synths stabs and clouds of vocal effects. Finally, secondnature’s own Fugal delivers a remix that flips What/Why into a rolling depth charge.

Violent Light will be available in stores in October 8, 2018 via ReadyMade Distribution, and on secondnature’s Bandcamp

Marco Shuttle’s enduring and anthemic classic 'The Vox Attitude' gets a new, deluxe remix pack that includes both tracks off the original 2011 record and remixes by Atom™, Pessimist and Marco Shuttle himself.

Ahead of the remix package's release via Eerie Records on May 15, Mixmag has locked in Atom™'s remarkable rework of Shuttle's contagious techno track. The veteran German electronic music composer keeps the core of the original tune intact while garnishing it with vocoder musings and his trademark FM sounds that rise into a frenzied synth breakdown towards the very end of the track.

There was a tense atmosphere which hung in the old theatre, the red curtains parted and a beaming light emerged from the back of the stage with shocking vibrancy. He leant deep into his chair and watched as the show began to unfold before his eyes. In the darkness it was hard to tell who he was sat beside and who else might be watching with him, it should have been a private affair. Upon the old wooden stage dancers moved with provocative motion and intrigue. They left little to the imagination but delighted the fabulous crowd of oddballs. 

BAR Records was founded out of the base which was BAR, Rotterdam. An infamous venue which has sadly since closed but not without one hell of a fight. The label lives on and the next EP comes from Venderstrooik, an interesting, abstract affair which represents the weirder leanings of the venue. Sacha Mambo delivers a cutting remix.
