Ben aka Dancers in Crime is a multi-disciplinary artist working with the dance world for 20 years. In the booming Blade-Runner-like atmosphere of Shanghai in 2006, he co-founded the first international dance school in China, Souldancing Studio, which quickly morphed into a large creative agency designing custom artistic performances. 

As a Creative Director and Choreographer, Ben toured for years in over 50 cities, producing elaborate shows for the Who Is Who of luxury brands (YSL, Celine, Prada, Chanel, Dior, etc). His team of 60 professional dancers was behind high profile events such as "L'Extraordinaire Voyage", the Louis Vuitton show at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, a multi-media experience that was seen by over 10 million people.

It was during those days that Ben's interest for dance, photography and music truly blossomed. The first experiments of cutting tracks to fit the stage. The first times picking up a professional camera to capture performers in a particular set of costumes. 

Ben's fashion and portrait photography has since been regularly published in Vogue, Mixmag, DJ Mag, The BBC, Beatport, and the NME among others. He has shot music luminaries such as Drum 'n Bass legend Goldie, DMC Champion and ambassador of DJ Culture A-trak, scene veterans NIghtmares on Wax, Serge Devant and Timo Maas, and downtempo pioneer YokoO.

As a DJ, Ben was a regular at one of the best clubs in Asia, the decadent Baba Beach Club - home of Circoloco in Thailand. Since moving to Ibiza in 2018, he has played at quality venues like the famed Pikes Hotel, Akasha, Sunset Ashram, Beachouse, as well as numerous secret villa parties. Five of his new tracks are on schedule to be released in 2024. 

As Dancers in Crime, Ben defies genre boundaries, mixing  eclectic Playa Tech vibes with Deep House, Tech House, and hypnotic Techno  - sometimes heavy, always groovy.

"What makes a great night is the vibe on the dancefloor - connecting non-verbally, through the power of movement, with the hundreds of souls moving around you. You may not know all their names or stories, and you probably never will...but for a few hours, bouncing and laughing, united in sound and energy, you are Partners in Crime, you are Dancers in Crime. And that's what it's all about for me."
