R$N Premieres: May 2016

The flickering light illuminated the forecourt of the airport mall. On the other side of the glass window the engines of flying machines whirred as they prepared to jetset towards destinations unknown. Sunnier climates awaited those who would travel but the hologram would remain a part of this place of departure for as long as days would allow: observed by travellers the world over, it was simply a beam of light in a dim space. Flash, flash, flash.
It is with great pleasure that we are able to introduce to you the first record from the 12th Isle crew: Glasgow upstarts with knowledge which far surpasses our own. For years they have been running parties in the basements of dive bars and beyond, spreading weird and wonderful music with the masses. This year sees them launch their label.

The gurgle rumbled in the basement cellar. It could be heard across the city and the distorted groans of the underbelly would continue to rorar for as long as the acid would allow now. The clatter of drains upon concrete left a clattering tone in the ears of all who listened, the acid rolled chundering on. Acid, acid, acid. 
Here is the latest release from the Swerving The Community crew who have just released a four track EP from Chris Moss Acid. Squelchy sounds from England. It bangs.

The crowds gathered on the shore. There were people of all races, nationalities, colours, creeds, ages, genders and beyond. The diversity was strong amidst the community of the island. People here did not discriminate, there was no hatred, only love. The dying embers of the fire burnt slowly by the moving tide and they gathered to watch, a community at peace, a people as one. 
That Place Records are based in Lyon, France. Over the past year they have been releasing music alongside a bold blue and white visual representation which has left us intrigued. Previous releases have featured the likes of MZKBX, Visitors For Reworks, House Mannequin and Juliano. The latest release comes from VFR who delivers three choice techno cuts with a melancholic drive which left us enchanted.

The mirror hung from the bathroom wall at a crooked angle. The ghost on the other side of the glass would stick its ugly neck out from time to time to haunt and taunt. It whispered in his ear as he stared at the ominous reflection. It was merely a grainy shadow, but the power that it held weighed heavy on his mind like a block of stone. It shattered all illusions.

The gate sat unhinged amidst the open field. The long grass blew in the wind as the dying sun set across the meadows. Deep in the outer reaches of the German outback nobody could find them here. The woods loomed in the distance where night would fall and the party would gather. They would dance until the small hours before the sun came up and they would be free.

The waterfall poured over the cliff face down to the murky pools of the jungle floor below. The water trickled slowly downstream before crashing against the rocks like some monstrous rumbling drum. Green moss hung loosely clinging to the wall, fighting the weighty presence of the water which crashed against its bearings. The jungle was awake.

The latest release from the Disco Halal gang is set to land and it comes in the form of an LP from Autarkic. There has been an interesting surge of hype and intrigue surrounding what will be the labels first full length release.

A most perilous incident had occured in the laboratory earlier that day. A chemical compound had spilled profusely as part of a mixing error. The floor had burnt away beneath their very feet and the walls had begun to shake. This was a controlled substance, a dangerous presence in any experiment in its own right, let alone its ability to act in freedom. The powder lay scattered across the floor, and metal, wood, plastic and glass began to bubble under its reach. This would burn them all. The mixing error would prove fatal. 
Up next on the Sheik 'N' Beik record label steps Keita Sano. His output since 2014 has been impressive following releases for the likes of Mister Saturday Night, Crowdspacer, Discos Capablanca and more. He steps up and offers four tracks for the New York based label.

The whirring noise of the arcade machines echoed around the circus tent. Once a year the funfair rolled into town with its majestic red and golden tapestry leaving their mark emblazoned against the skyline of the countryside. Crowds came from far and wide to observe great wonders, beat the pinball machines and watch the artistry of performance. An epic affair, a wondrous affair, a beautiful affair. 
In celebration of Tsuba's tenth anniversary as a record label they have announced a three part series which will feature split EP's including a range of edits, remixes and guest features. The latest EP sees contributions from Jimpster, Galcher Lustwerk, Williams, Fort Romeau, Kevin Griffiths and Ray Comanchero. We are lucky enough to be able to premiere the full length Fort Romeau remix of Williams 'Pinball'.

The late night dive bars of New York City had long since disappeared, replaced by toweblocks and skyscrapers this place had become but another zone lost to the ever growing concrete jungle. The people had to look for new places to party, new spaces, open land where the raw disco energy would be able to travel as freely as a bird in the sky. The music had the ability to move mountains, they needed the resources to roll the first stone from the cliffs above.

The glittering stones lined the path forwards. On diamond lane everything was beautifully fluorescent, they shimmered in the pale moonlight. As they strolled the charismatic tones of the sky whirred above their heads. They were in paradise and the diamonds were watching from beneath their feet. It was glorious. 
Here is an exclusive premiere from the Dutch maestro Tom Trago. He has produced four tracks for Red Bull Studios in Paris which see him dabble across tones of Detroit inspired house and more.

The ups and downs, the highs and lows, the peaks and troughs. Thrills existed everywhere, all around them. There was always more excitement to seek, more chaos to create, more drums to bang and more people to dance. The world kept on spinning, as did each track and they moved forwards together as one. 
We are very excited to be able to showcase the forthcoming JMII release from Spanish stalwarts Hivern Discs. His appearance follows on from releases on labels such as 100% Silk, Subwax and NVH. Listen to 'Thrills' from the forthcoming EP below which is due for release late this month.

The world of noon would be the most captivating expedition on which they had embarked yet. The sun shone for twenty four continuous hours, day and night were at one. This was a place with no darkness, simply endless, enchanting daylight. The voyage might last them a lifetime, they would sail across the galaxies, until they reached the world of noon.
Khidja are seemingly unstoppable at present. Following a string of releases for Love On The Rocks, Malka Tuti, Bahnsteig 23 and more they have decided to launch their own label alongside Borusiade, The Holy Fix and Utopus.

Miajica aka Mario Robles is a Swiss DJ & producer, who's previous work as part of Alma Negra on Sofrito gained support from the likes of Optimo and Jackmaster. This track on LGDZ is a spacey, Kraut-tinged 23 minute excursion, almost filling the available vinyl platter with its warped and modulated techno, unearthly reptilian rhythms and deep astral jazz pitch bent riffs.

Amidst the outback of the African landscape lay a great hill. A terrific hill, Nyeri hill. It could be seen poking its head above the clouds as planes looked down on the golden textured landscape below. Wild animals pranced between the long grass at its foot, it cast a bold shadow over the countryside, it rumbled and roared. It was unlike any hill before, again, and future. 

Here is the latest release from Maurice Puls who delivers two heavy hitting tribal tracks for Quadrants. They pack quite the punch, club ready material.

The steelworks had remained open for as long as sustainably possible. The girders shaked as the men stampeded ferociously around the old abandaoned plant. They cried in anger at the disintegration of a once great factory, a once great establishment, a once great industry. They would build again, through the strength of muscle and the anger of hell they would raise the abandoned building from the ground. They would stand upon girder 86 and look down upon what was theres again once more. 
Power Vacuum continue to launch new music into the world at a rate of noughts. Bintus, Invisible Scum, Mark Broom, JoeFarr and Objekt have all featured but this release sees the return of the much loved EDMX.

In the days of Mesopotamia the great streets of Babylon had sprawled for miles and miles. A city untouched, open to the notion of freedom and a place of gold. The sun cast a warm glow down upon this haven, a place of love, power and peace. The ancient city would one day fall under the weight of oppression but it would not be this day or soon. Babylon would live on and it was not yet lost. 
The latest release from Night Noise Music sees the Gemini Brothers remixed by In Flagranti. They reinterpret 'Lost Babylon' in an exciting fashion.

The power of the material universe could be observed from the balcony up above. As they watched from the clouds they looked down upon the earth as it spun. The shimmering seas blended blue to green alongside land and fields. Great cities existed down below, but they to would come and go, a transcendent planet set for its own destruction and its own destiny. Only time would tell how long they'd last upon the floating rock, the clouds would merely observe.

The Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra's vinyl only remix/edit series has already seen some pretty impressive contributions from the likes of John Morales, Theo Parrish and Marcellus Pittman. Now the latest instalment is here, featuring two new takes on the track 'Where Do We Go From Here?'

We're premiering the flip - a remix from Italy's Luca Trevisi, aka LTJ Xperience. Having racked up over 30 years in the DJ and production game, his disco collection is (unsurprisingly) absolutely unparalleled. Luca's take lets the gorgeous vocals breathe in that Mediterranean air, plunging into the deep blue ocean depths and emerging glistening into the sunshine.

PREMIERE: Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra - Where Do We Go From Here? (LTJ Xperience Remix)

Straight outta Adelaide and straight off Warren Raww's upcoming EP, 'Ross', coming through your speakers courtesy of Manchester based label, Natural Sciences. We premiere the first track straight off the release, Gringos Tropicana.

With that recognisable, woozy, sound that's been making it's way over from Australia via Raww amongst many others(think Mall Grab, Mic Mills, Francis Inferno Orchestra), 'Ross', as a whole, is an compilation of lo-slung, exotic sounding grooves to get down to. 

Gringos Tropicanas spells out non-chalant boogie from the off. Straight in, no fucking about. Listen to this and you'll be rapidly transported and moving involuntarily in Warren Raww's lo-fi tropical ravine.

Balearic Social deliver their second release on the label, with a four track EP from the "not now so mysterious" Zmatsutsi. The Yorkshire combo of party-starters, frazzled friends and all-day reprobates have produced this track, a chugging, building and yet somehow restrained cut, that is until the funk of the bassline gets disco-zapped and all the pieces of this fit deliriously together.
