This track lives in the final corridor of the anger chapter of my story “While They Were Sleeping.” The candles are flickering. The world is breaking. And the Devil  the one from a story I wrote called “The One Who Watched from the Fire”  reveals himself. Not with flames. But with doubt.

“Is This Where It Ends?” is his grand theme. The sound of urgency, fear, and the unbearable weight of almost giving up. It’s the final test: when your story is unraveling, when every version of you is falling apart, when the voices are loud and the silence is louder.

It’s cinematic. It’s chaotic. It’s spiritual fire. This is what it sounds like when the Devil asks you to surrender and you almost do.

But something  maybe memory, maybe love still burns.

It's almost ludacris to think that Slam, the Glaswegian techno duo from the North have been producing and releasing records for almost thirty years now. Throughout that time they have been involved in the formation of the Soma label, the imprint which released the earliest Daft Punk records, music from Surgeon, Funk D'Void and many many more. Slam's influence as a duo has been prolific and they are appreciated and respected across the world as much as they are in their hometown. Stepping up to the table with something a little outside the norm, we put the pair through their paces as they contribute an all ambient mix to our Monday series which sees them delve deep through the relams of Global Communication and beyond. This one is pretty special.

His production career began within Kompleks, fans’ favorite live duo he once formed with his pal Lule. Schwabe recently drew public attention as Tapan, another slo-mo duo he formed with Goran Simonoski. Two Tapan EPs, „Volume“ for Scott Fraser’s Crimes Of The Future label and „The City“ for Willie Burns’ WT Records show Schwabe’s haunting 100bpm-oriented world in the best possible light. Known as the modest master of dark slow rhythms, Schwabe as a DJ is at his best when he is given enough time and space to transcend genre and experiment with his immaculate collection of seductive rhythms, ambient music and ethnic influences. Nebojsa’s most recent ventures include three Tapan releases (’Ghana’ & ’Tarantella’ EPs, as well as the first LP, ’Europa’) on Malka Tutti label, a DJ set for the cameras of Boiler Room broadcasted from 20/44, and performances at Atlas Electronic festival in Morocco.

After a three-year hiatus, Mindwaves Music awakens from hibernation and is rebooting with a brand new compilation called “Pnyø”.
Eleven exclusive and previously unreleased tracks, carefully chosen by the labels in-house artist Matilde Møller aka P(h)onyCat, merging between genres such as Ambient, Electronica, Leftfield, IDM and Glitch.

The selected tunes may be diverse in tempo and timbre, but the underlying feeling is melancholic, and imaginative - poetic and delicate. 
Even if "Pnyø" could be characterized as peculiar in part, instead of opting for the obvious straightforward expression, the release comes in an overall laid back vibe, which was compiled for your listening pleasure at home.
