Classics after classics, old school never dies

There is a perfect relationship between noise and silence. Some artists like to play with that, manipulating textures and our perception of sound and space. 
Bruce and Myako are among them. Accomplished artists offering a rare degree of sensitivity, they make their debut in the series with two exceptional mixes.

Hello again friends. This is my last instalment (for now) for Radio Relativa. I wanted to share some personal favourites from the more ambient, downtempo and introspective end of the record shelves. Music for early mornings, or late nights. Deeper listening, 'mood music'. The music contained within this new selection takes in quite a number of eras and styles. Some of the names might be familiar, some might not, but one thing they all have in common is a sort of shared magic, a unique feel and melodic quality that really does something for me. There are days.... weeks.... where all I can listen to is Cluster, for example. I hope this final missive from my living room here in South London is enjoyable and enlightening, and that sometime soon I will be back on the airwaves on the good ship Relativa. Lezure is a collective from Glasgow which has since risen to prominence in numerous cities. Energetic, fun filled parties with a focus on spotlighting both local and international DJ’s to great effect.

Over the years they have booked and supported a steady stream of artists who have since gone on to do great things. Lezure as a collective are very much tastemakers in their own right.

From a musical perspective the sounds that they have pushed are pretty broad – however it has never necessarily been about hype and the importance of each guest and their approach to DJ’ing remains pivotal in making the party what it is.

Calum, aka Sloan, is one of the key figures behind the long running party series and brings with him a reputable array of knowledge across a broad spectrum of Electronic music.

When we saw the tracklist for this one we were pretty stoked as we feel it represents both the proper thinking sensibilities of the Lezure crew as much as it does the party orientated gang they are known for.
