For those in the know, The Mole is perhaps one of the most influential underground House music producers of all time. They don’t call him The Mole for nothing, he digs deep and encapsulates the true spirit of the genre and there’s few producers who’s catalogue has been as widely sought after and respected as his. Anyone who’s anyone who plays House music likely has more than a few of his records locked and loaded in the crates or on a stick.

For many years he has released music on the likes of Perlon, Ostgut Ton, Sound Of Vast, Kompakt, Internasjonal and more. More recently he has formed an affiliation and connection with Circus Company on which he has released both EP’s and albums.

Speaking of which he has a new record out, a deconstructed beat tape of sorts based upon influences from Hip Hop and cassettes alongside his deep rooted love of House music.

This mix follows soon after and to be honest, it’s one we’ve been excited about receiving for some time. The Mole is a bit of a legend round these parts.

Last Friday we held our 5th birthday at Headrow House and it was more than a pleasure to hand over the evening to Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston's A Love From Outer Space for a 6 hour set. If you were there, you'll know what a fantastic journey it was amongst the smoke and strobes. Hailing from London, Sean Johnston is one half of the infamous "A Love From Outer Space" duo alongside Andrew Weatherall and also part of Hardway Bros. Described as an "Acid-House Veteran, Techno Survivor and Alpinist" he has released plenty of records on labels and outfits such as Throne Of Blood, Sabres Of Paradise, Luna Flicks, Astro Lab or IsItBalearic?!

New focus to an artist whom I appreciate enormously, it's a bit like a craftsman or a jeweler, a gem-setter who creates sounds and arranges them with his owner style to arrive at landscapes with a sound texture of any beauty. Axel published on Pampa, Hivern discs, he is also a part of famous "Studio Barnhus", he also makes great remixes for various artists such as Acid Pauli, Maribou State, Sei A, Harald Bjork, Justus Kohncke, Tom trago, Bella Boo, Dreems, Longhair.
