Hinsetzen, Augen zu, Musik auf angenehme aber intensive Lautstärke und eintauchen! In Schleichcast°15 machen wir einen Ausflug zur lockigen Ostsee (@sattlord). Eigentlich kreiert der Mitbegründer der Faultierdisko nur sehr wenige Sets im Jahr. Umso mehr freuen wir uns darüber, dass er unserer Anfrage nachgekommen ist. Entstanden ist ein Mix aus TripHop, Chillout und Ambient Klassikern. Ein Zeitsprung in seine Jugend, wie er selbst sagt. Das Endresultat hat ihm sogar so gut gefallen, dass er es als persönliches Meisterwerk bezeichnet. Wir können die Emotionen, die darin verarbeitet wurden, förmlich spüren. Bravo!

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Ich bin Stephan und komme aus dem wunderschönen Rostock an der Mecklenburgischen Ostseeküste.

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Mit 18 hab ich unzählige Barabende in meinem alten Jugendzentrum geschmissen und sorgte als Barchef natürlich auch für die Unterhaltung. Das war zu der Zeit aber viel 80er und 90er Musik. Irgendwann kamen die Leute aber nur noch wegen der Trashmucke, sodass sich mein Arbeitsplatz zügig von der Bar an das DJ Pult verlegt hatte. Meinen ersten Controller bekam ich dann kurze Zeit später von meinen Freunden zum Geburtstag geschenkt, ab da an gab es kein Halten mehr und der Trashmaster 3000 – mein 80er/90er-Pseudonym - war geboren. :)

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Das ist eine allumfassende Frage…. Ich höre nicht erst seit dem breiten Auftritt von Downtempo langsame Musik. Das spürt man an dem Mix den ich hier für euch gebastelt habe. Chillout/Ambient/Triphop gehört seit meiner Jugend zu meiner Lieblingsmusik. Langsame Musik bringt eine gewisse Tiefe mit sich. Die Emotionen sind wesentlich stärker ausgeprägt als bei schnelleren Stücken. Die Langsamkeit erlaubt es einen, so richtig in die Musik und in die Gedanken des Künstlers einzutauchen. Du spürst jeden einzelnen Beat, keine Note und kein Detail geht einem durch die Lappen. Ausserdem ist langsame Musik in sooo vielen Facetten Abwechslungsreich, da kommt kaum ein anderes Genre mit.

>>Was ist dein aktueller Lieblingstrack (und auf wieviel BPM)?
Der Mix für euch hat einen lang vergessenen Lieblingstrack wieder hinaufgeholt. Als ich am Suchen war, spielte ich verschiedenste TripHop Songs sehr langsam ab, dabei ist mir „The Cutler – Chandrahas“ so dermaßen hängen geblieben… Normalerweise hat der Song um die 130 BPM, im Mix hab ich ihn aber auf 102BPM gespielt. Was für ein Ohrenschmaus.

>>Ein Set, dass du dir immer wieder anhörst?
Oh, das ist nicht einfach… ich habe mir auf Soundcloud eine private Playlist mit meinen Lieblingssets erstellt… da sind aber 54 Mixtapes drin :D lass mich überlegen…. Ich denke, am meisten von allen hat mich „Mimi Love – I EAT YOU“ beeindruckt. Mimi Love ist eh eine herausragende Künstlerin. :)

>>Was ist dein Lieblingsfestival?
Addicted by Fusion Festival auf dem ich seit über 10 Jahren arbeite, ist aber mittlerweile das 3000Grad Festival mein Lieblingsding geworden. Mit einem Bruchteil der Besucher bietet dieses Festival alles, was auch den Fusion Sympathisanten beeindruckt. :)

Eine Dreiradfahrt mit uns! Auch bekannt als wir - oder genauer gesagt - der Dreiradfahrt :) 
Diesen Monat drehen wir mal wieder selbst eine Runde, um den November unserer Reihe einzuläuten!
Und das mit einem besonderen Grund, denn ungefähr vor genau einem Monat
hatten wir das Vergnügen auf Einladung von @aka_tony und @djhabebe-13 nach Zürich zu düsen und mit den beiden ein Wochenende musikalisch zu füllen! Neben gutem Essen und schönen Gesprächen gab es sowohl Freitag als auch Samstag einen dreirädrigen Input und es war uns wirklich eine riesen Freude die beiden mal persönlich kennen zu lernen sowie ihre wunderbare Musik selbst endlich live miterleben zu können! Ein großes Merci nochmal an dieser Stelle!
Das Set ist vom Freitagabend, an welchem wir nicht nur die Hotel-Bar inklusive freundlicher Crew kennenlernen durften, sondern zudem mit Thomas zusammen die lieben Leute die gekommen sind um bei Schwips und Rauch zu lachen und zu tanzen bespielen konnten! Das schöne Erlebnis und Ergebnis wollten wir daher heute mit euch teilen, also Lauscher auf und stellt euch vor ihr steht an der Bar, trinkt einen leckeren Gin Sour während die schönen Melodien aus den Speakern vor das Pult ziehen und die Beinchen bewegen! <3

Hailing from the South West Matt Cowell is a dedicated DJ who has been a consistent figure along the way. Now based in London, he collaborates with various parties, magazines, and labels: Viscera, Ransom Note and Not An Animal, while also co-founding the intimate event series Optick. In addition to this, he co-runs Viscera Transmissions alongside Ben Carrington. At Ransom Note, Matt plays a key role in curating lineups for their residency at The Social. Beyond his DJing, Matt co-hosts the show "Too Hot To Sleep" with Reefe Murphy on Radio Vilnius and has also been involved in co-hosting roles with “The Ransom Note Roll Through" on Kiosk Radio and "The Ransom Note Dispatch" on Netil Radio.
