Gucci belt dreams when my rent came first,
Hand-me-down hope but I still broke thirst.
IPhones buzzin’ with the news from the block,
Jordan 3s scuffed from the hoop and the stop.
Kitchen conversations with my pops on the low,
Lessons in his tone ‘bout the things I should know.
Money ain’t evil, but it shows people’s colors,
Nights in the Uber, droppin’ off drunk brothers.
Online scrollin’ while the world keeps burnin’,
Pages in my head full of lines I’m learnin’.
Quiet ain’t weakness, it’s ammo when it counts,
Risks pay double if you learn to read amounts.
Suit up clean for the jobs that denied me,
Tears in my shirt but my will stood beside me.
Ups came slow, but the downs hit quick,
Vices in my path had me thinkin’ I was slick.
Watches on wrists, some tick, some flex,
Xed out calls from the folks bringin’ stress.
Youth fades fast, but the lessons, they stay,
Zip up the past, move ahead every day.

Air in my lungs feel richer with the truth,
Benz on the street but I’m walkin’ in my boots.
Cameras flash quick, only catchin’ what they choose,
Data in the cloud but the soul’s what you lose.
Elevators stall, so I learned to take the stairs,
Folks sell love like it’s stocks, not shares.
Gas light on, still drivin’ to the meeting,
Handshake deals while my stomach kept bleedin’.
Ikea table where I write my fate,
Junk mail dreams tossed out too late.
Keys to an old flat, paint on my palms,
Landlord callin’ while I’m chasin’ my calm.
MacBook screen glow, beats in the queue,
Nike box stash holdin’ all that’s true.
Only thing certain is the clock won’t stall,
Paid in respect if the cash don’t call.
Quality moments over quantity gains,
Rose gold chains don’t outweigh the stains.
Subway rides taught me patience and grit,
Truth in my tone when I’m talkin’ my shit.
Used to want plaques, now I’m buildin’ my name,
Valid in my lane, never playin’ their game.
Wallet might fold, but my mind won’t bend,
Xenon lights flash as the night hits end.
Yesterday’s gone, tomorrow’s not set,
Zero regrets in the lines I’ve met.

Letters of My Life

This album is my first, and I think it turned out good. I like to inspire people with my music by you getting to know me and my problems and tribulations. I hope people can relate to my words, and be able to decide to take action to improve their lives.
