The Shelter Yangon is proud to present a new mix from Yu KT.
  YuKT has become a favorite across Myanmar’s rapidly-evolving dance circuit and at international music festivals—showcasing her unique and eclectic rhythms with every crowd she meets. Influenced by her time exploring London’s vibrant underground landscape, she returned to Myanmar in 2015 and began spearheading a new music culture back home. This evolved into serving as a Resident DJ at Level 2, Yangon’s premier house/techno club, and becoming the first Myanmar DJ to perform at Wonderfruit Festival, BeamFest (Thailand) and Ultra Music Festival (Singapore). A purist selector, her arrangements are as educating as they are exciting, forged with a genuine commitment to pushing boundaries and bringing you with her. She established ‘No Commitments,’ a pre-covid mainstay in Yangon for diverse and genre-bending
dance experiences, highlighting talent from around Myanmar and beyond. Since 2022, she’s become a Resident DJ with hypnotize label. She’s now ready to connect with more people regionally and globally, bringing audiences everywhere her same love for dancing and curiosity for understanding beats from a different perspective.

The Shelter Yangon is proud to present a new mix from emjoy.
formerly known as EM, started his career as Trance DJ in 2015. In his early years, EMJ found his calling in the hypnotic melodies and ethereal harmonies of Trance music. As EMJ, he made his mark in the world of trance, crafting many live sets that make audiences to be mesmerized. His early career saw him gracing the stages of iconic festivals, and events with Trance music across the country. But in the world of electronic music, where the boundaries of sound are continually pushed, true artists are bounded by an insatiable hunger for evolution of music. 
EMJ found himself drawn into deeper and more enigmatic rhythms of techno and synth progression. This artistic awakening marked a pivotal moment in his career and this is when he started off his new alias 'emjoy. To document his transition from trance to techno, emjoy launched the "emjoy EP" in 2021, symbolizing his evolution from trance to techno.
Each track is an evidence that documents his transformation, blending the elements of his past with the contours of his deep/progressive/techno present. With roots deeply embedded in the euphoric trance music, emjoy has embarked on a transformative journey into the universe of deep/progressive/techno, redefining his sonic identity along the way. It was a bold departure from the melodic embrace of trance into the hypnotic depths of deep/progressive/techno. emjoy is now at the forefront of the deep/techno movement here in Myanmar, and also a Co-founder of hypnotize. Madd is a rising force in the underground electronic music scene, known for weaving deep, hypnotic techno sets that transport listeners into immersive sonic journeys. With an ear for subtle textures and a relentless drive to push boundaries, DJ Madd has carved out a unique space with a sound that balances raw intensity and meditative rhythm.
Based in Yangon, DJ Madd has become a regular fixture at some of the city’s most influential venues, including Attic Bar, YangonYangon Bar, and Red Room Club. His performances are defined by atmospheric layers, rolling basslines, and a dynamic flow that captivates both casual listeners and seasoned ravers alike.
A true curator of vibe, DJ Madd draws inspiration from the darker corners of minimal techno and deep house, seamlessly blending tracks that invite introspection as much as movement. Whether playing a peak-time set or crafting an extended late-night session, his goal remains the same: to build a shared trance through sound.
Currently working on original productions and expanding his presence beyond Myanmar, DJ Madd continues to refine his craft and shape a sound that is both personal and profoundly communal.

The Shelter Yangon is proud to present a new mix from JAYSN.
  Emerging from the serene rural landscapes of Southeast Asia, Jason Thu Ya Han,better known as JAYSN, is a rare gem in the music scene, passionately exploring the limitless possibilities of sound-designs.
Born and raised in Myanmar, JAYSN uncovered his deep connection to music at the age of 12. Starting his creative journey early, he worked on numerous projects between 2016 and 2020, honing his craft and defining his artistic vision. He made his return as JAYSN in late 2022, and his fan base has been steadily expanding ever since. JAYSN has established himself as a prominent figure in the Drum
and Bass scenes of Thailand and Myanmar, regularly headlining major underground events.
In February 2024, JAYSN debuted his single “Polaris” through the UK experimental music platform Rendah Mag, accompanied by an article spotlighting Polaris Collective and its deep ties to his artistic vision and life experiences. Shortly after, he released “VOID” on
Stellar Audio’s This is Stellar Volume 1, garnering international attention from the global Drum and Bass community.
JAYSN’s distinct style—marked by unpredictable basslines, cybercore influences, and dark, atmospheric soundscapes—has solidified his reputation as a unique and innovative artist in the scene.
