The entertainment industry is all about who you know and how hard you’re willing to work to get known. It’s called networking; an art that transforms into a sport once it’s mastered, only to grow more intense in competition as you start to make your way.

Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, Myth began his radio career as an unpaid intern at a local radio station in his neighborhood at the age of 19, making him that stations youngest employee. His early accomplishments didn't come overnight, nor does it complete even a tenth of his to-do list. Yet it says a lot about who he is, where he's been, and where he's going.

His passion for music began before the days of CDs (and gasp- iPods); back when Myth would hear the tunes of his aunts practicing their instruments in the basement, to listening to all genres of music due to the constant play by his grandmother and grandfather. After years of going to concerts, listening to hip-hop, browsing record shops for vinyl, and mobile DJ'ing, his innate desire to be in music consumed him.

Currently Myth is on-air every morning from 9am-NOON. His love for music doesn't stop there; you can also find him DJ'ing at some of Chicago's hottest clubs throughout the week.

There are a lot of elements to Myth, not just in his job descriptions, but in his character. Chances are if you are with him, he's learning something from you. Qualifying him as somewhat of a triple threat, his multi-faceted radio, production, and DJ titles are just the building blocks of a resume that reads like a portfolio of someone who has been in the business for decades.

“The Sip” is a radio show that unites four intellectual African-American gay men from diverse occupations and life journeys to embark on a quest to discover and report on everything from world headline news to pop culture - all from a Black LGBTQ perspective. It’s a show that aspires to be a James Baldwin with a pop culture twist.

Currently wrapping up his 7th album, the house-influenced Black Boy Wonderment, slated for a July 2019 release.
