The vocal/production duo of Adesha and Vincent Kwok return to Sleepers with their second release on the label, "Life's Too Short" / "Blame Game." Both tracks embody the essence of dance floor readiness, but refreshingly, they do so in different ways. "Life's Too Short" is straight ahead modern boogie, melding delicious synth lines and Paradise Garage vibes to create a pulsating, peak-hour groove. The lyrics tell a familiar story of ending the hesitation and embracing love to the fullest, yet as people seek some sort of return to their pre-2020 lives, the song's mantra feels timely. It subtly encourages fears to be overcome and anticipation for real-world socializing to be built.

The glacial groove of "Blame Game" places it within the same party, only a bit earlier in a night when BPM's are a few notches lower and moods are still being established. The heavy use of DX7 chords set a pleasantly cool tone, while frenetic staccato bass notes underpin it all, giving you the first inklings of the evening that it's time to finish your drink and shuffle towards the dance floor.
