PM+ strides into 2024 with the invigorating energy only a debutant producer can bring, as we proudly present the first public offering from @mrterrycotta We’ve been party to the steady progression of Cotta’s productions for some time now, and with the arrival of ‘She’s Eclectic’ and ‘Running’ we knew the time was right to drop his sound on the unsuspecting dancefloor. 

There’s a raw vibe to these tracks which embodies the essence of a techno jam, revealing in gnarly overtones driven by deadly, effective arrangements. The curveball moves, like the outré drop-out in ‘She’s Eclectic’ or the twisted vocal sample in ‘Running’, are the signature of an artist following their own instincts with nothing to lose. That’s precisely why we’re so drawn to these cuts. 

The rhythm sections won’t let you down, while the synth work and sound design has more than enough spiciness to dance on your tongue and warm your guts. What else do you want from a pair of club tracks?

Peder Mannerfelt drops two new versions of the smash hit "Big Ball" from his 2023 EP on Nervous Horizon. This time around, he's teamed up with the electronic music maestro Roman Flügel for an epic collaboration. Roman's remix is nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing his signature chameleon-like ability to transform and expand tracks into something entirely mesmerizing. There's also a beatless No Bounce mix so you can roll your own version. Let's see how far this ball can roll!

The latest pair of technical fizzers come bowling up to PM+ from the boss himself, shoulder-barging his way between business lunches with a shark-like instinct for what bangs and no quarter given for self-serious techno posturing. 

Fed into the party mainframe directly from the new Aasthma studio he shares with Pär Grindvik in Stockholm, Peder Mannerfelt applies his amped-up digits to exactly the kind of irreverent but brilliantly realised club monster PM+ was built for (with a little help from Grindvik, no less). 

‘Flash My Flip Phone’ hinges on the titular keypad tones as a sort of early 00s update on bleep techno with added doof. As a complementary serving, the ‘Flipped Groove Version’ notches up the steely, loopy mechanics of the track as an ode to kind of techno which moved mountains around the time most folk were flashing their flip phones. It’s a direct adjustment for a more visceral experience, but rest assured both cuts will slay as they order you to make way for the power play, elbows aloft, eyes on the prize.

Bringing the extra-terrestrial jack we love so dearly, Comarca comes spinning into the PM+ orbit with two glittering space rocks on a collision course with the club. There's fierce functionality in the focused sound palette, but we could never settle for conventional fare and the Spanish upstart knows exactly where to tease in the necessary freakiness to get us sweating. 

At the core of Comarca's sound lies his instinct for slowly evolving, disorienting textures to induce slow-release hysteria on the dancefloor. Away from obvious build-up-breakdown dynamics, 'Ben Depressa' is the kind of slithering, plate-shifting techno that takes a locked-in crowd and moves them en masse to the next plain of interconnected, transcendental shockout with devastating poise. 

'Rotula' is equally monumental in its potency, ratcheting down a rock solid groove upon which to tease in the hooks until they're subliminally submerged deep enough in your subconscious to take full control. There's a lyrical quality to the lead synth line which sounds like it's commanding some kind of bacchanal on the edge of the void, and who are we to resist the call?

Fresh, fun, firm and feisty — invite Comarca over the threshold and lay his fiendish wares upon your virtual platter.

Following his first public outing on the good ship PM+ back in February, Terry Cotta steps back into the ring with another pair of scintillating techno workouts steeped in piercing synthesis and rounded out with radiant charm. 

'Dr. Feelsgood' aligns title with mood on multiple levels, applying a surgical precision to the track's gently evolving, linear arc while administering a strong dose of soul nourishment by way of the subtly joyous, harmonically charged tones. Much more than a banal happy clapper anthem, this chrome-plated love bomb taps into a more spiritual sort of uplift that promises emotional nourishment for everyone in the blast radius of the soundsystem.

'Neon Skull Implant' rides a nagging jack that will get you popping off before there's even a tickle of what's to come. It's a tune running split agendas, getting low down and nasty with the artfully red-lined lead lick up front while pearlescent dub notes shape out the space over yonder with gleaming clarity. Cotta flexes his sound design pecs in the breakdown, busting that troublesome foreground tone out of its main loop in a flourish of mind-melting feedback before locking right back in to get your body over the line.

In a flurry of dreamy electronica driven by peak time dance pressure, Kiritchenko bursts onto PM+ with a sound entirely his own. Andrey Kiritchenko has been an active musician in Ukraine since the early 90s, more commonly found working in electro-acoustic and other such experimental music zones. Of course, this means he approaches techno with a welcome dose of irreverence that leads to some truly original results. 

'Black Heat' has plenty of uptempo thrust to keep the floor on lock, but it's the hyphy stabs zipping across the front of the mix that bring a hysterical party dimension to the track. Meanwhile, the middle distance is shaped out by undulating, wistful pads more commonly found gliding through downtempo headphone fodder. The contrast gives the track a zest strong enough to inject colour into the most monochrome of situations.

'More Vows Untold' continues the maverick delights with a strong line in pitch-bending vocodered stabs and demonic spectres. It's the kind of track that gleefully pokes at the fabric of reality by bending human elements to very mechanical tasks and giving everything a dose of disorientation. Stripped-back enough to be layered in the mix but striking enough to carry itself independently, it's exactly the kind of outsider selection that leaves a trail of shocked ravers scrambling to make sense of the situation.

Presenting a portfolio of twitchy techno tectonics with a sharp line in corporate acumen, LDS returns to the market with a double-dose of limber futurism for PM+.
 
Stuttgart shock broker Luca Daniel Schwarz has been firing and perspiring on all cylinders since he went public around 2016. Past form for the likes of Subwax BCN and Blue Hour have all shown a deadly instinct for modern variations on the techno tradition, and he keeps pushing at the form with a fine balance between playful disruption and poker-face propulsion.
 
'Business Influencer Theme' is a jagged bolt of hi-tech soul littered with crafty edits, luminescent synth strokes and a mid-section pep talk to get you match fit for the midnight power lunch. 'Portal Merge (Peak Mix)' leans towards the growling, subtly emotive brand of electro pioneered by the Weatherall-Tenniswood dream team, bolstered with modernist sound design flex and another canny helping of sliced-up word salad.
 
Forecasting at the intersection of social commentary and cutting-edge club clout with devastating clarity, LDS packs a lot into his wry, laser-focused motivational workouts. The outlook is weightier than a hedge fund manager's bloated bar tab.

@em_stav presents a blend for Pmx 34 which draws on Bristol's storied bass mutations as much as their own take on modernist dance music.

Set phasers to wobble as Kelbin confronts his alter ego DJ Floor in a battle for dislocated dancefloor supremacy. The latest notch in the PM+ bedpost sees the Italian producer and self-described VCV Rack enthusiast conjure up some devilishly off-kilter synth licks looped up and strapped to a nasty, funked-up techno undercarriage.
 
'Wiper' is mostly a rugged, swung 4X4 workout splashed with plasticine synth zaps, but the glorious melodic flourish at the mid-section adds a machine soul dimension to the Kelbin sound that offsets the swampy sound FX beautifully. Or is that part of the DJ Floor sound?
 
The shuffled beats continue apace on 'Stamper', nodding to fidget house and 00s minimal in that canny arrangement of swinging bleeps that hit right at the front of the mix. Expertly constructed for maximum release, this must surely be where DJ Floor comes into his own. Or maybe that's what Kelbin wants you to think?
 
Bright and brash but chiseled into shape with an expert touch, this is the kind of crooked brain-melting gear that PM+ lives for.

Peder Mannerfelt splits the difference between playful immediacy and daring experimentation. You’re as likely to find him premiering a live show at Berlin’s Atonal festival as pulling apart fabled techno meccas from Berghain to Fabric with synapse-frying precision. One minute he’s being asked to remix Björk, and the next he’s dropping EPs of non-conformist techno for Karenn’s Voam label. 

As a prolific collaborator throughout his career, Mannerfelt has veered from the orchestral tension of Roll The Dice (with Malcolm Pardon) to the anything-goes maximalism of Aasthma (with Pär Grindvik). As a producer, he’s worked on every one of Fever Ray’s acclaimed albums and live shows, as well as projects from alt music heavyweights such as Smerz, Blonde Redhead and Glasser. His Peder Mannerfelt Produktions label has become another outlet for his singular approach, presenting his work alongside similarly experimental operators like Sissel Wincent, Machine Woman, Klara Lewis and Hodge. 

More recently, his PM+ series celebrates the immediacy of club-focused tracks, and Mannerfelt thrives on the energy and community of contemporary club music. What makes him different is his response to that energy, as he pushes the music’s possibilities in wild, unpredictable directions.
