Reset Radio #015 - Sebastian Nogga

To launch Character, Deetron and fellow Swiss dynamo Ripperton have teamed up under their rarely seen Roots Panorama alias to carve out two dancefloor focused cuts with very different attitudes. 

The 'Mars' EP is the product of what can only be described as an epic jamming session and both producers have created contrasting remixes that are sure to set nightclubs and warehouses alight.

Deetron's 'Panorama Version' is the sun-drenched and synth-laden opener, one that's perfect for setting the tone of an evening or bringing it to a close whereas Ripperton's 'Roots Version' is a far darker and more steely cut which incorporates a jagged arpeggio that's set to stun.

Alex Jones & Chris Spero, known to Hotflush followers as Dense & Pika, are entering the stage of another quality label – Hypercolour – with a 4-track Lynn EP, released at the end of this month.

UK’s techno duo delivers the familiar all-consuming monster vibe on the EP, which is the only way they seem to operate together. The track we’re proudly premiering today has the notes of 80′s mechanical sound, gently nods to Moderat’s “Bad Kingdom” and takes it further into the land of vintage synths, fog machine reverbs, and melodic industrial sounds.

This months mixtape is made by charming Berlin-based Jing. It will take you on a sensuous and explorative trip into space and in yourself. It is wicked.
Jing herself describes the mix as an intensive cinematic ambient mix. If you suddenly feel like being in a sci-fi universe while listening, you are right. This will take you there. And even though the mix is quite dark you will clearly feel Jing’s positive and curious approach to music, which she explains more about in the short interview featured on our homepage (http://tissuemagazine.com/?p=8429). 

Jing is originally from Taiwan but moved  according to herself without a clue to Berlin in 2014. But here she is. She met Konstantin from Giegling under a tree in Taiwan and then came to work with "The Gieglings" when she came to Berlin. And naturally she started making music herself in 2015. Enjoy the trip!

Peder Mannerfelt splits the difference between playful immediacy and daring experimentation. You’re as likely to find him premiering a live show at Berlin’s Atonal festival as pulling apart fabled techno meccas from Berghain to Fabric with synapse-frying precision. One minute he’s being asked to remix Björk, and the next he’s dropping EPs of non-conformist techno for Karenn’s Voam label. 

As a prolific collaborator throughout his career, Mannerfelt has veered from the orchestral tension of Roll The Dice (with Malcolm Pardon) to the anything-goes maximalism of Aasthma (with Pär Grindvik). As a producer, he’s worked on every one of Fever Ray’s acclaimed albums and live shows, as well as projects from alt music heavyweights such as Smerz, Blonde Redhead and Glasser. His Peder Mannerfelt Produktions label has become another outlet for his singular approach, presenting his work alongside similarly experimental operators like Sissel Wincent, Machine Woman, Klara Lewis and Hodge. 

More recently, his PM+ series celebrates the immediacy of club-focused tracks, and Mannerfelt thrives on the energy and community of contemporary club music. What makes him different is his response to that energy, as he pushes the music’s possibilities in wild, unpredictable directions.
