Mark Allen - Brainforest Mix (Chaos Unlimited, 1995)

Here is the set I played at the beautiful venue of Forest Soul Gathering in Montalegre, Portugal.
It was played as an opening for a night dedicated to Goa Trance on the Otherworld stage, from 00:00 to 02:00.
The lighting of the dancefloor was a bit null, but I could see a glimpse of the dancers, and it filled my heart with happiness to see many good friends and also people who I admire musically dancing and having a good time during the set.
Despite all the things that happened during the event, the vibe and happiness of the people made up for everything and turned this week into a memorable experience, as all the other previous editions were also.
I hope you enjoy the journey :)

After Nova

'Cosmic Warriors' is the 5th track of my unreleased 'Artificial Ignorance' album, and brings with it the powerful combination of sounds and words. The dialogue was taken from Ronald Rothfield's interview in a TV documentary, and I couldn't find a better way to describe the way I feel and see things as a husband, a father, a hard working man, a musician and just simply as a human being in this life. I think now, especially after the October 7th events in my country, it's more relevant than ever. We are cosmic warriors - we must fight darkness with light, and our music is our precious tool used to shine bright in this constant battle. 

I want to thank Techgnosis Records for giving me the stage to share and speak my mind. We are still trying to figure out the right time to put the album out as a consideration for the circumstances in this period of time, but also keeping in mind and understanding perfectly that the music must live on forever and it our duty to share it with you.

about 6.30 am the killing fields took the lives of so many fellow souls
on 07\11\2023
4 weeks to the hour i started to see live feeds to my phone videos from friends dying asking for help
one guy was holding his girlfriend's head which was ripped in two from an ak 47 round crying and begging for help he also did not make it.
tall kats was in my house only 24 hours before !!!!
i was on my way to the event that morning but was stopped in olga when i phoned my friend raif (tabbona food truck) and heard the horror live
i was in contact till he was rescued .
i lost 43 friends! ive been producing and playing at underground events for 30 years i know this family .
working on stage for moksha i just cant imagine how many of the dead youth i partied with and handed water to from the front of the stage as our parties reached fire pich 
my soul and blood are in this music and its ability to cross barriers and heal hearts.
i and we will not be defeated and lie in self pity and fear , we are all in trumma  collectively , we must release collectively , its the way of the tribe
i honor the dead and dance in their memory till the end of this life
i dance and pray for our youth that are being used as cannon fodder buy our government.
i hold our light and keep the dance floor ready for when they return for dance they will need.
why do we fight for the politicians? fight what is ours and trance is our national culture.
i promise to all who are defending us i will keep the fire of dance until you join us and also honor your dead friends
trust in trance we the biggest brightest  tribe in the world

got into electronic dance music in the late 80s doing the full rave experience 4.4 hardcore,techno,house,hard house,garage,nuenergy.
then i went to a future productions party (enlightenment) boom i found my scratch psycadelic trance.
as a dancer and psycadelic explora/
got very involved making free party's in the arches(Brighton) ovingdeen,warehouses, squats, ash-down forest and finally my own back yard.
had to leave went to India varshish ware i connected with the fins and started the standing wave project making party's in manarli,kesharl,shnarg,varshish,rajestarn,bombay,goa and copang gang.
thought a twist of life went to Israel in 97 and started psycotropiccarmel making hit and run party's in the forest up until 2006 (never busted)/
specialised in trance weddings(only in Israel?)
helped to release new artists like insect sun,dark soho,atain(injection,dna).
inspireing others like ultravoice,star x .
now after a 4 year break ive got new ears (432hz) to break the 440hz demon and bringing some fresh ideas to the scene to help our evolving conciousness
