Straight from Northern Italy, Alessio Meneghello or better known for his moniker Alan Backdrop, has been alluring his listeners through his productions characterized with deep atmospheres and a mixture of different genres. Simply put, Alan’s fascination is a reflection of his passion for electronic music and inspiration he gets from the world around.

He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his exceptional sound.

In addition to spending most of the time in his studio, Alan Backdrop performs in various festivals—the latest in which he performed were Modem Festival and Parallel— and in different clubs and musical events. Grafik builds immersive, long-form techno narratives from hypnotic patterns and deep atmospheric drones. His path started with records: collecting, listening deeply, and learning to mix at home, before friends invited him to secret underground events. Over time he shaped a story-led approach, favouring hypnotic flow and immersion, with continuity and organic gradation at the core. 

Together with Efectiv, he co-shapes CTRL ART DEL; they curate nights that connect sound with visual experience and expand the room into a three-dimensional field. 

In the studio he is moving into original production. Rooted in deep and hypnotic techno, yet open to both ambient-leaning passages and wilder edges, Grafik aims for flow that draws the floor inward and holds it there. 

He is part of Fúze, an alliance of Czech techno collectives contributing to the scene’s shared momentum.
