BIOGRAPHY: DJ THE WIZARD
 
For almost 30 years Martin Veldman, better known as DJ The Wizard is playing his records. His first contact with "Dance Music" was in 1988. Since that time he has been inspired by party’s and new dance styles like “house/acid/techno”. In the years '91 and '92, he and some friends had a party organization founded, called "Dream World" and held some fantastic underground party’s. From 1994, he spent several years working as a stage manager on large "raves” (like Heavens Place). The first records were spinned in 1995 and on June 1, 1996 he had his first DJ gig. Since that time, The Wizard played as a resident DJ in various clubs, festivals and many underground party’s including some in legendary factory’s. Since 1999 till 2009,Dj the wizard was resident at the famous “groove factory” techno parties in pop-temple “Hedon” (with Michel de Heij, Steve Rachmad, Miss Djax, Acid Junkies, Dave the drummer ect.),  and a number of years in the nightclub Rootz (played strictly housemusic). He also played several times in the famous Broerenkerk (Zwolle), including “Only Techno” with Joris Voorn and big festivals like “fusion of dance” and the Queensday parties.  for the last 10 years the gigs where more at small intimate parties and he is still resident dj for a few clubs in his hometown.

The Wizard is a highly respected all-round DJ. You can call him a “local Hero”. Many styles of today's "DanceMusic" speak to him and fit his style. Funky (tech) house to all styles of techno.
