Axel Karakasisis is the undisputed king of Greek techno. Renowned not only for his
amazing live 3 deck sets, he has releases dating back over the last 10 years – many of
which have been techno chart toppers. Here we find Greek Axel collaborating with The
Zone Records from Rome, akin to ancient empire’s colliding, only great things can
happen…
On this the fifteenth release from The Zone Records, Axel’s signature sound can be found
in all three originals. “Been Watching you” is a track which will be played everywhere
throughout the summer of 2011 and beyond, with its definitive bass bounce, punching
perc and superfly groove. Crazy tech rythym and pounding sounds grow into a
crescendo of sonic rapture that are bound to keep all techno heads happy. “Bite” raises
the tempo a little and gives you a glimpse inside the head of Karakasis and what the
man is capable of, with its sumptuous synth work and hardcore drum machine workouts -
“Bite” is relentless and not for the faint hearted. “Restricted Flow” is milder than the other
two tracks, and is perfect stuff for getting a dance floor going with its infectious melody
and undeniable head nodding hypnotism. This release offers a track for the start, middle
and end of your night – the shame is you won’t want the night to end.

The Zone records imprint is now synonymous with the term quality techno. Once again
we find them here imparting another ballistic banging balls-out release, this time bringing
in Brit big guns the Space DJz. Three top-drawer original tracks from the UK’s outstanding
& enduring underground techno duo of Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire, alongside two
remixes from new school champions Knobs and Logotech. Something extraordinary from
the Space DJz, slowing it down some especially for the Zone Records, and showing all
they can mix it up contemporary style and differ from their usual relentless heavy techno
operandi. Supporting remixes from Knobs and Logotech ensure a remarkable calibre
release that will possibly be the best techno EP of the summer if not the year.

After 2 years…Finally we are on vinyl again!
A great musical journey start…with stop in Italy Germany, Holland and Mexico .
Different approaches in the use of machines and different influences, 3 “Techno Star” as Alex Bau, Luis Flores and Red Square, comparing their styles on Frankie Serious original tracks.
Mnestic / Roaches , 2 mental & hypnotic tracks where thin voices are supported by thumping rhythmic, result: a great techno groove!
The A Side, however, opens with Luis Flores Remix that completely transforms the original Mnestic into a more “clubbing” version by enhancing the groove and the mentality, a perfect and elegant interlocking between voices and chords for a clear reminder of Detroit old school techno, but with whipping snare and other elements creating the perfect ambience in a “cerebral and spiritual traditions of the land of the Maya”.
In the B-side, Red Square open, with great technique, make Roaches full of hypnotism, through repetitive and mental pads combine with a sharp rhythmic creating a totally visionary track.
The latest remix, first of Roaches original that closes the album, is from Alex Bau, where the rhythm and bass swell, becoming more powerful and hard, till to create a difficult job for the subwoofer, in the perfect “Berlin Techno” style but with a Big Surprise waiting to be discovered in the middle of the track that only his genius could invent.
A vinyl that is in fact all a big surprise, track after track, in different styles and interpretations of three great artists on two perfects originals!

Dopo 2 anni d’attesa si torna al vinile|
Un grande viaggio sonoro che parte dall’Italia toccando Germania, in Olanda fino al Messico.
Differenti approcci nell’utilizzo delle macchine e differenti influenze, provenienti da 3 grandi nomi del mondo Techno internazionale come Alex Bau, Luis Flores e Red Square, si confrontano sullo stile delle original di Frankie Serious, grande cultore del suono analogico.
Mnestic / Roaches, 2 tracks ipnotiche e mentali dove voci sottili e bassi rotolanti supportate da ritmiche incalzanti creano un grande groove!
Il Lato A però si apre con il remix di Luis Flores: che trasforma completamente l’original, potenziando il groove e la mentalità di Mnestic rendendola “clubbing” attraverso un un perfetto gioco di incastro elegante tra voci e un accordo di chiaro richiamo old school techno Detroit, frustate di snare e sonagli il tutto a creare un’ambientazione spirituale e celebrale in perfetta tradizione  della terra dei Maia.
Nel Lato B invece la partenza è affidata a Red Square, con grandissima tecnica, carica la track di ipnotismo, attraverso pads ripetitivi e mentali “comunicanti” tra loro e incastrati su una ritmica tagliente creando un ambientazione totalmente visionaria.
L’ultimo remix, prima di Roaches original che chiude il disco, è quello di Alex Bau dalla Germania, dove la ritmica ed i bassi si gonfiano, diventando più potenti e duri creando un arduo lavoro per i subwoofer attraverso un chiaro richiamo alla stile “technoide” berlinese ma con una grande sorpresa, tutta da scoprire  nel mezzo della track, che solo la sua genialità poteva inventare.
Un disco che in realtà è tutta una grande sorpresa, track dopo track, negli stili e chiavi di lettura diverse di tre grandi artisti, su due original perfette!

La propensione per la Techno è inequivocabile, seppur di tanto in tanto l’etichetta capitolina abbia riservato qualche gradita sorpresa di taglio trasversale (Arz, ALH, TraXiss).
A quasi due anni dal “Prehypnotic EP” di Logotech, The-Zone Records torna a scommettere sulla plastica circolare, e lo fa attraverso Frankie Serious, che peraltro ha già occupato un numero del catalogo digitale col “Cells EP” del 2011. Romano anche lui, Francesco Seri è un patito di strumenti analogici e, ovviamente, di Techno, stile che per l’occasione convoglia in due brani: “Mnestic”, incessante crescendo di pathos e ritmo, e “Roaches”, contraddistinto da suoni quasi liquefatti sincronizzati su un pressante beat che non conosce esitazione.
Così come avvenuto per il citato EP di Logotech, il team di The-Zone lascia completare il lavoro a tre remixer d’eccezione: “Mnestic” viene ritoccata dal messicano Luis Flores, che ne attenua lievemente l’impatto, mentre a “Roaches” ci pensano prima l’olandese Sander van der Veer alias Red Square, con una versione in cui gli elementi vengono combinati geometricamente, e poi il tedesco Alex Bau che fa divampare le fiamme e fa grondare energia.
Un The-Zone davvero caldo, in cui la temperatura sale traccia dopo traccia.
La scelta del colore rosso nell’artwork, dunque, acquista un preciso significato.

B2-Roaches (Alex Bau Remix)

Dutch Duo Hackler & Kuch dare to deviate from the considered current constraints of
contemporary techno, creating carefully crafted club killers of colossal proportions. Here in
conjunction with Italy’s undisputed masters of underground Techno, The Zone Records, we
find them letting loose with their Duck & Cover EP.
Three sublime original tracks with three stunning remixes to match, the Duck & Cover EP will
satiate even the most demanding techno zealots. Title track “Duck & Cover” effortlessly
escalates from eerie beginnings into an enormous monster of a track, its elements maintained
and courteously remixed by Cologne’s Cortechs. Second track “NLS” is a souped-up, high
powered white knuckle rider of a tune which suspends belief with its sheer intensity,
impressively remixed by Italy’s own Logotech. “Weedhacker” wheedles its way into your
brainwaves with its wondrous percussion whilst it’s winsome vocal whacks away at your
frontal lobe synapses, ravishing remix alterations made by Austria’s A grade techno son
Niereich.

HOUZ'MON Feat FAST EDDIE JUMP

Andreas Florin, young yet already the representative of the European Dark-Techno Movement presents an EP all based around the track “Red Cloud”. Collaborating with some of the best DJ’s on the scene remixes are provided by the likes of Niereich with Mike Ban &amp; Dietmar Wohl, Kuniaki Takenaga , DavidChristoph , Ambivalent and Gabeen. Tracks all focusing on the deep and industrial sound which is currently hot in the Dark techno record market. This type of music is more examples of the self defined “a mixture of all kinds of Techno-elements” motion, echoing such artists as The Advent, Jeff Mills, and other names of the Detroit Scene, its source of inspiration coming from its first encounters with electronic music. From all the remixes the unique sound of all the
artists is clear. Kuniaki Takenaga and Niereich vs Mike Bank &amp; Dietmar Wohl focus on the bass and drums of a track that reverberate throughout calling on many of the original sounds of the famous city of Detroit, the city that gave birth to Techno. Other artists like David Christoph and i1Ambivalent focus more on transforming the track into one perfect for the clubbing scene. Whereas Gabeen remixes his tracks with a stronger bpm, harder drums and a deeper base that leaves no respite. All the versions differ greatly, but all guaranty to send the dance floor crazy.
This is an EP that will leave a mark!

The evolution of the history of music to Electro and Miami Bass response ITALIAN is the protagonist in the second release of The-Zone Records 
Side A is signed by artists, experimenting in the 80s and low 90s drum machines and synthetic, have given rise to new musical forms, still points of reference for the new generations, respectively defined Electro-Techno and Miami Bass. From the industrial city of Detroit Michigan, Aux 88 transformed the Afrikabambataa’s electro funk on techno sounds from the world originating in their city. While in Florida ("Planet of the bass") Debonaire has skill fully combined the American Rap with the imposing German electro bass power, voice and scratch, creating an explosive groove for the dancefloor. Two tracks in collaboration with their friend and one of the highest electro pioneer  made in Italy, Max Durante, who knew how to mix low rolling, electrical items and broken beats recreating setting really old school. Ketty Boccia is the featuring appear on track with Debonaire and Max  Durante, she is an important figure of the Techno-Electro Italian movement.
The B side is all signed by Max Durante. Two tracks , the expression of what has always been the bridge between the musical sound of Detroit and Rome

Old School analogue instrumentation for the three tracks inside ”Europa Trip EP".
The groove of the Roland TB 303 and the minimal rhythmic elements (Europa Trip) recalls the influence linked to the production of Plastik Man, while the bass-line turns fused with a dirty rhythm and the vocals (ISO Acid and STACID) report to the more “Roots” Acid-House productions of Chicago. Here comes the second EP signed Space DJZ
the great English duo back on The-Zone Records with a great job.
"The Dark Side of Techno" is expressed by a thin line between oldschool style to a Newschool that only the great experience of this duo, now part of history, has been able to expertly packed.
"Booster Intro", totally Ambient, opened just this futuristic scenario through dark synths and a very deep sounds of industrial machinery.
With Robotic Refuel and Inject & Generate, tracks we hear a powerful rhythmic sequences composed of deep Kicks, Hit Hat and resonant percussion, synths combined with deep and dark, creating a scenario in which we seem to hear the screams of mechanical monsters that herald a revolution against the power of man.
Two Tracks that are reminded a little of the famous TheMover’s productions.
The "late night" version of Robotic Refuel recall the Detroit’s style, more clubbing, underlining once again the origins, by those who know them well, the world Techno.

Born in Naples on 7th May 1988, with an innate love for electronic music at the age of 11 years began a path of growth and musical experimentation, channeled into Techno.
Logotech's adolescence was marked by hearing and contamination of big producers like: Speedy J, Chris Liebing and the "schranz" movement, James Ruskin, Surgeon, Regis, Umek, Savinto, Plastikman, Adam Beyer, The Advent, Ben Sims, Tomie Nevada, Alex Bau, Marco Carola, Gaetano Parisio and Dave Clarke.
Logotech in 2008 began to release his works and in 2009 his tracks achieve excellent results like the support from big artists as: Umek, Rino Cerrone and Markantonio; and the presence of his track, Mr. D.A.S.P.O. on Ketra Records, in the weekly MUST HEAR TOP 10 TECHNO of Beatport.
In 2010 his continuous quality work allow the digital and viniyl release of his tracks on label such as: Skyline Type Grooves, Naked Lunch, Gynoid Audio, Transmissions, Amazone, Innervate, Vokodek, etc.
Parallel to the incessant music production, Logotech's joins a massive amount of live act both at parties and as a podcast and radio show: Logotech's live sets, switching between Minimal to Techno, keeping dark atmospheres and stomp beat chained to a ride groove.
His sound hypnotizing and involving every dancefloor and the crowd reaction is always amazing.
Named by Cisco Ferrera aka The Advent as one of the best newcomer during his intreview on Blind Spot Radio, Logotech continues his production work with increasing urge, making tracks whit eclectic musicality, ranging from Dark Techno to Minimal Industrial.

After almost a decade in which it has been “the lighthouse of radio stations” for the electronic music turned to dance scene in Rome, Italy and not only(New York on 88.3m/<a href="http://party934.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">party934.com</a> till 2010 and after <a href="http://FNOOB.COM" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">FNOOB.COM</a> Techno Channell), supporting and promoting hundreds of artists and labels, The-Zone decided to make a decisive breakthrough.&#13;
The-Zone Records was born with the same purpose of the radio programme, which aims to promote the sound of the best established and emergent artists through the realization of sheer releases, that will permit to the sound of The-Zone to get out of the radio and spread his label all over the world.&#13;
The-Zone artists have been selected through all the radio experience that The-Zone acquired during these years, also with the events where The-Zone have taken part in as organizer or as media support.&#13;
Our label was born neither for the need of a producer nor for any other commercial goal, but it comes from the wish to represent Italy abroad as an international label and also to spread the sound of the artists which sustained The-Zone till now.&#13;
With this project, The-Zone gives to every artist full freedom to promote his own sound and his personal project (label or other), from production to finalisation (EP title, cover colours, etc.) .&#13;
The-Zone Records was born already with the support ofinternational historical artists of the calibre of Aux88, TheAdvent, MaxDurante, Debonaire, Rino Cerrone, Markantonio and other artists which are establishing themselves with their quality productions like Minimalrome, Alessio Mereu, Max M, Frankyeffe, Night Orchestra, Mezmeric, Exile and others.&#13;
You can guess from these names how the world of The-Zone Records is and will be various, as it has been during these years the radio programme, always aiming to the dance scene but particularly to productions of quality and to his artists.&#13;
