Kolkata-based producer The 13th Note (@the13thnote) makes a compelling return with his latest offering, a seven-track EP titled Arrival. Widely recognised for his uncompromising and refined approach to minimal and deep techno, The 13th Note has cultivated a distinctive voice within India's underground electronic music scene. His work seamlessly integrates influences from acid, breakbeat, and Indian classical traditions, resulting in a soundscape marked by melancholic, minimalist melodies—expertly constructed through a carefully curated array of analogue and digital hardware.

We're excited to present the next release on Subtrail by label co-founder Uddhav, the DJ/producer based in Chennai, India. Around this time last year, Uddhav introduced the first chapter of his Strains series with Strains of Gold. Now, he returns with the second edition — Strains of Silver. This EP continues his visionary concept with three meticulously crafted originals — hypnotic, groove-driven, and designed for all room settings. A proper treat for all minimal and psytech lovers. El Campo is the latest project from Alexi Delano and Javier Orduna. Ignited after analogue studio sessions in the Spanish countryside, the pair have been able to explore and create sounds for which they share a mutual passion. The end result being this EP produly released on Rebellion.

"We’d spoken for a long time about going out to the Spanish countryside and writing music inspired by the surroundings. At last we found the time and the right location to seclude ourselves and dive into its tranquility. No audio pollution, just the sound of the wind blowing through the fronds of the palm trees just outside our studio window. We soon found ourselves in a kind of meditative state and the songs began to write themselves."

The EP opens with the gritty industrial beat of ​El Regado. E​ mploying deep whirring melodies, the rushing breakdown is highly complimented by elegant keys. Next up, the hypnotic sounds of ​La Siembra ​are fuelled by ethnic strings and wind instruments, underpinned by a pulsating beat. ​Las Semillas ​closes the EP with a pacey tempo, otherworldly pads, melancholic strings and an abundance of percussion.

Born in Chile, raised in Sweden and later adopted by New York, ​Alexi Delano ​has produced six albums and released on labels such as Minus, Plus 8, Drumcode, Visionquest, Get Physical and Spectral Sound. Spanish export ​Javier Orduna has held down a residency at the prestigious Moog Club in Barcelona alongside a worldwide touring schedule. He’s also released records on respected imprints including Visonquest, VIVa Music, R&S and Chapter 24.

Known for his blisteringly relentless and sophisticated rendition of minimal and deep tech, ‘The 13th Note’ has carved his own space in Indian underground scene, fusing influences of acid, breakbeat and Indian classical music, with a penchant for melancholic minimal infused melodies, brewed through distinctly crafted machinery. Breaking out with his 5 track debut EP on ‘Soupherb Records’ the Kolkata based producer makes skilful use of sound design, sophisticated arrangements, full spectrum basses — all leading to sonic expeditions that crack like a whip on the dance-floor.

Tracing back to his formative years since 2015 he’s earned his stripes between playing residencies and honing his musical skills in the studio behind the desk and vocal booths, Ishwar Singh Bhatti sets a hedonistic and boundless approach to his art and craft that’s as evident in his DJ sets as his productions, leading his loyal listeners on a journey between dystopian and near future themes.
