SD - Cuts

The "Rules of Attraction" EP sees the welcome return of NC-17 to Dispatch Recordings, as he delivers five varied, high-energy tracks including an appearance from the long-standing, all-time favourite MC - MC GQ. 

Known for his attention to detail, thematic passion and razor-sharp production talents, NC-17's love of cinema shines through via his use of clever vocal cuts and well-chosen movie dialogue.  Huge groove-led funk runs throughout each of the heavily dancefloor-focused tunes on this EP. Each hits differently, united by funk in abundance and massive modulated bass. 

Another standout release from the Canadian don, which might take you by surprise.

After a little break, Between The Beats is back for its sixth instalment. I'm honoured to have sat down and had this chat with Nurve and to share it with you.

Raff is the mastering engineer of our label and we discuss the technical side of mix and masters as well as business and what it's like to take the risk to run on your own. We then go on to talk about the imperative importance of looking after your physical and mental well being, keeping disciplined and the many ways which we should strive to exercise this in our every day lives.

This chat has a little something for everyone. Whether you're a producer looking to understand more about mix downs and masters, an aspiring artist trying to understand how to navigate the industry, or just someone looking to strive to be the best version of themselves. This has so much wisdom, passion, knowledge and love all wrapped into it and I personally learned a lot from conducting this interview. 

Over the past 6/7 years, Raff has been my teacher, my mentor and my friend. This conversation demonstrates perfectly the many reasons why he is somebody I hold in such high regard and really value!

Lost Identity EP

When you think of the earth’s most peaceful and graceful inhabitants, surely sea turtles are one of the first creatures to come to mind. Turtles have been revered in many cultures for their perceived wisdom and longevity. In ancient Chinese, Indian and some indigenous North American mythologies, a turtle (or its legs) carried the world on its back - the ultimate symbol of stability. And of course they’ve also been celebrated as youthful sewer-dwelling, pizza-eating mutant ninjas. Real-life sea turtles have been badly impacted by plastic pollution. Turtles eat plastic bags mistaking them for jellyfish, or die getting tangled in plastic and fishing wire. Almost all species of sea turtle are endangered. That is the reason we want to do something about it. Proceeds from the release will go to Ocean Conservancy to help protect them.

We are excited to announce the third release on the H3O Music series, featuring the incredibly talented Marvel Cinema from Germany. Known for his steady appearances on liquid labels like Fokuz Recordings, Liquid Labs and Liquid Drops, Marvel Cinema brings his signature style to our label with the stunning Friends EP. This release delivers classic liquid flavors perfect for lush summer nights. Each track is crafted with the smooth, melodic soundscapes and deep, rolling basslines that Marvel Cinema is renowned for. It also features collabs with Dan Guidance and Fishy. The ideal soundtrack for those warm, starry evenings. All proceeds from this release will support Ocean Conservancy.
