Kicking off the official releases for Phase Records DNB in 2023 is London based duo ‘Premonition’. Premonition have been part of the Phase Records family since it was founded two years ago and have spent that time crafting their sound and refining their abilities as drum and bass DJ’s and producers. 
 

This EP is one that the boys should be very proud of. It is an accumulation of their hard work and dedication which we have witnessed from them these past couple of years. ‘Together With Sound’ is everything you would want from a modern representation of Drum and Bass music. The EP contains exceptional variety, including BPM changes, 4x4, clever choice of vocals and expert level sound design. This release keeps things fresh and exciting with each track. While doing so, it also holds continuity and the running themes of emotion and togetherness through the love of great music. What we know for sure, is this isn’t a mere montage of cool sounds and good drums. This is a collection of four pieces of real, raw music which evokes feeling and tells a story. Not only are we excited about this release, but we are now even more excited to see and hear the future sounds that Premonition will have to offer. This, is truly, just the beginning.

Jabaru, a true luminary in the world of Bass Music, particularly the revered realm of Drum & Bass, left an indelible mark on the hearts and souls of fans and fellow artists alike. His untimely passing in 2023 left us with a profound sense of loss, but within that darkness, we find solace in the vibrant and luminous sounds he gifted to the world.

In collaboration with the Portuguese IPSS institution "GIRA" (https://gira.org.pt), this album endeavors to shed light on an imperative issue: mental health. Amid the soaring highs and thundering lows of life, we acknowledge the importance of safeguarding mental well-being and fostering a supportive environment within communities.

Through the resonance of Jabaru's beats and the collective efforts of these gifted musicians, we seek to sensitize the world to the significance of mental health, breaking down barriers, and nurturing a space of compassion, understanding, and healing.

"I have also suffered from mental health. During a time of my life I felt lost, couldn't understand why... all the effort to do good, those around me wouldn't give me the recognition.

You can't lose yourself for anyone else and slowly i have gotten a piece of myself back. Don't be afraid to understand how you feel. Don't let yourself get into the dark space of life. Don't be embarrassed to seek help. The only thing we truly have is time. God willing, you use this time to grow. 

You're not weak. You're not alone. You're human. Remove yourself from any negativity. You control you, not your environment. So leave, be you, be better. Be powerful and god bless you all!"
