At some point in every producer's life, the urge to write an acid tune becomes irresistible, and for Grimey Electro pioneer Sir Hiss, that point is apparently now. Claps as sharp as Blade's blade in the film 'Blade', the kind of tension that can only be described as being 'just like the rave scene in Blade', and of course some iconic Grime sampling shenanigans all conspire to create an unholy banger of such blood-sucking power as to compel Wesley Snipes to pay his tax bill. Bad.

Meanwhile, M300 Tool showcases the further reaches of Hissian hardware exploration, taking a vintage TC Electronic unit and some hardware analogue drums for a spin down Flanger Lane, which is, of course, a minimal yet tuff thoroughfare leading to either Banger Estate or MC Village (MC not provided).

Finally, on EP closer 'Synchronisation', the NMM label boss, fresh off duppying Outlook for the Pineapple Records takeover, indulges the current temptation to 'get a bit proggy' with it, lacing synth arpeggios, bouncing toms and spacious bass tones together to answer the questions no one has yet dared to ask, namely 'what if Sasha & Digweed were from Bow E3?' and 'what if Northern Exposure wasn't really boring?' - The NMM / Bedrock beef starts here...

Metamorphosis is the sound of transformation. Born from a deep inner shift, this four-track EP captures MONé’s evolution. Each track is a stage in the unraveling and reconstruction of self: raw, hypnotic, and unflinchingly personal. With tempos pushing boundaries and textures weaving between harsh industrial tension and lucid transcendence, MONé redefines his voice in techno—not as a genre, but as a medium for spiritual defiance and rebirth.

The opening act of metamorphosis. Shed is about release—letting go of what no longer serves. A steady, pulsing rhythm meets eerie, reflective atmospheres, echoing the unease of transformation. It’s controlled tension, like skin being peeled back, one layer at a time. The heart of the EP. Metamorphosis is relentless and ritualistic. Its high BPM and pounding intensity symbolize the chaos and beauty of becoming. Fragments of the old self are violently discarded as new sonic identities emerge. This is MONé at his most primal and transcendental. An ode to perception shifts—named after Albert Hofmann, the father of LSD. The track dives deep into kaleidoscopic patterns and shifting grooves, fusing psychedelia with gritty dancefloor energy. It’s an introspective trip into the subconscious, full of spiraling fractals and warped clarity. Closing the transformation cycle with fractal logic and mathematical precision. Fraktals is both chaos and order—glitchy textures, asymmetrical patterns, and deep hypnotic force. It ends not with resolution, but with a sense of ongoing evolution.

Marijn S is a Dutch producer and DJ who showcases the organic age of dance with radiant breaks and gritty, icy soundscapes.

As a producer, Marijn combines multiple contrasts in her work; the raw, pure and timeless essence of music. Embracing simplicity and tranquility, Marijn is also intrigued by darker, experimental, and complex music. Her artistic expression is characterised by the playful juxtaposition of these contrasts. 

She’s played notable gigs such as De School (AMS) Garage Noord (AMS), Dekmantel Festival (AMS), La Cheetah (Glasgow) and participated in events like Ilian Tape’s Amsterdam takeover at the Melkweg. Marijn S has recently made her live performance debut for Speedy J's STOOR / PINK NOISE during ADE, playing only with her so described ‘machine of self expression’: One hour full of her own creations, ranging from textured ambience and dreamy IDM to heavy distorted bass, abstract noise and heavy hitting electro & techno.

Her most recent EP, Digital Tears, is entirely composed and produced using the Elektron Machinedrum MKII. Some tracks, like Digital Tears and Soft Fall, were recorded in a single take to capture the raw energy, live vibe, and personal touch that come from working with analog equipment. She uses techniques like layering, resampling and overdubbing to produce a richer, denser, and reimagined sound (Gleam), as well as recording several elements individually, processing and arranging them in a way that enhances the overall coherence of the sound (Magnetic Fields).
