New single ‘Mother Said’ is due for release 28th August. The Rupees interweave themes of fate and choice along with regret and optimism in their rousing and anthemic new single. The indie ballad captures worldly  wisdom between a mother and son, 'Your life is never in control, but life will never let you know'. 

We’re raw, aggressive and honest. Fighting our way out and up our principles are simple; be yourself, be distinctive and be passionate. Our songs are personal but remain universal and often shake the space between ideas of  fate and choice, optimism and reality, always big, always anthemic. 

The Rupees and their music has been showcased on BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), BBC Radio 6 (Steve Lamacq), and Sky Sports (Soccer AM). Having played Reading Festival, Glastonbury and Bristol Harbourfest, supporting bands such as Blossoms and The Growlers and selling out numerous headline shows, The Rupees are making a serious racket that is becoming hard to ignore. Having just completed their latest tour they have also just left the studio and their arsenal is full with four singles ready to attack the UK public in 2020 and with further studio time planned it seems the assault is set to continue.

London rock indie foursome The Jaggs kicked-off the new year with the release of their rock steady debut single Dasha, which has managed to earn itself airplays on Amazing Radio (by Jim Gellatly and Shell Zenner); to jump onto Paul Hanford’s weekly playlist at Hoxton Radio, and to win over the attention of BBC Introducing London’s Gary Crawley.
 
The indie outfit are the result of the continuous music-making of Mike, Jamie, and Charlie who met at secondary school – finally completing their group with the addition of bassist Joe in 2013.
The boys have been concentrating on their work creating catchy and heartfelt songs spiced up by yearning electric guitar interludes and the lead singer’s unmistakable raspy voice. Their work has won them stages with the likes of Carl Barat (The Libertines & Dirty Pretty Things) and support from the brilliant producer duo Werkhouse.
 
Whilst having played the London gig circuit and having earned Chislehurst Rocks Festival’s love 2 years running they have developed an accomplished sound that remind you of some classics such as Blur, Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon and The Maccabees. 

In 2016, there can be expect a lot more from these boys and their first shot is sounding like an indie rock banger you just have to listen to.

The Greasy Slicks are a grungy, psychedelia-laced blues rock three-piece made up of Jack Kendrew on guitar and vocals, drummer and singer Rian O’Grady, and Nathan Rasdall on bass.

Off the back of the band’s recent debut album release and European/UK headline tours including festival appearances, you can expect to hear new material accompanied by more live dates in 2017.

In the age of the throwaway band, The Greasy Slicks truly bring something different to the table.
