@saschabraemer is by no means an unknown face of the global house scene, which he has helped to shape over the past few decades with a large number of releases. 

He travelled around the world from shows in clubs, to gigs in front of thousands at festivals. In 2019 he started his own label Hoito with releases and remixes by artists such as BOg, Aaaron, Echonomist and Sascha himself.

Progressive house producer @braxtonofficial has shared an abundant array of releases after the next on Anjunadeep, Above & Beyond, and Enhanced Music this past year. With a  consistent 3 year residency at renowned music festival Cream, music producer @steveparrydj has been making noise for himself in the techno realm. The DJ and promoter made headway in the DJ sphere with his sessions called ‘Alderaan’ nights which took place between the late ‘90s to early 2000s, just above the influential DJ venue Lemon Lounge.

First released as part the EPM20 compilation from @epm-music, 'Beyond The Reach Of Time' was a track unearthed by British techno icon Karl O'Connor AKA Regis from the archives, showing an introspective, more emotional side to the producer and @downwards label head that had otherwise “been buried in the mists of time.” 

For his take, @shedofficial pulls 'Beyond The Reach Of Time' into tribal territory, deepening the track’s percussive elements with robust drums and shimmering hi-hats. The result is hypnotic and propulsive, while honouring the emotional integrity that forms the soul of Regis’s original.

ANNOUNCES new EP “Telophase”

RELEASE DATE: 1st September

London based recording artist and soundscape composer Savanh Phaophanit aka PALENCE is releasing his new EP Telophase on the 18th August via Playground Records. Over the course of several years he has garnered a substantial online audience as well as acknowledgement and respect from many pier producers who operate in overlapping scenes. A number of his tracks have been featured on popular underground music channels such as ‘the_accidental_poet’ and ‘FOMH’.

Using a 1971 Tandberg 4000X reel to reel player (given to him by his grandfather), alongside a collection of found objects used to record the majority of the percussive sounds in the EP, PALENCE has created a unique and personalised set of textures and timbres to use as tools for producing. Running his 1981 Gibson ES-335 through his reel to reel and splicing individual notes into short stabs, he recycled the noises and drenched them with reverb to create bespoke atmospheric synth-like sounds. It would appear that through the multitude of long-winded and atypical methods adopted for the creation of this EP a running theme which connects each of the tracks is precisely the unorthodox ways in which they have been constructed. The EP’s emphasis on hand-crafted sounds and reluctance to rely on any pre-recorded or sampled material is demonstrative of Phaophanit’s desire to separate himself from a rapidly growing scene of sample-heavy production, whilst simultaneously displaying his enthusiasm for original and pioneering methods of creating music. 

Inspired by post-rock and slowcore melodies, PALENCE cites influences such as Explosions In The Sky and Low, as well as the likes of artists such as Aphex Twin, Duster, Bluetile Lounge, drip-133 to name a few.

Russian electronic musician CHVRN will be releasing his EP Drowned via The Playground on the 4th August 2017. He has shared stages with the likes of Dita Redrum, Gnothi Seauton, and IC3PEAK, and has collaborated with Polish wave producer MYSTXRIVL. His remixes include tracks for a string of USA, artists including Aesthetic Perfection and GenCAB.

The project name is derived from the city Charn in the series of classic fantasy novels, The Chronicles of Narnia. CHVRN became interested in music when he acquired his first guitar ten years ago. In 2011 he started the 8bit/chiptune project “Reboot Me.” This lead him on a path to the discovery of the witch house scene, a movement that has become infamous for underground raves and wave music parties in Russia over the past several years. 
The sound of CHVRN has roots in 80’s new wave and synth, but is inspired by a variety of genres: modern wave, post rock and witch house. He cites the likes of Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Kamandi, and HNRK as influences as well as popular EDM artists such as Dj Snake and Major Lazer. The result is a strong atmospheric sound, combined with spatterings of modern hip hop and EDM rhythms.

Says CHVRN, “This EP marks a final step in my journey since my first release. It’s the endpoint of a chapter which has seen me research the new edges of my sound. Just dreamy vibes, secret thoughts and embracing the spirit of my city.”

London-based recording artist and soundscape composer Savanh Phaophanit aka PALENCE is releasing his new EP Telophase on the 1st September via THE PLAYGROUND Records. Over the course of several years he has garnered a substantial online audience as well as acknowledgement and respect from many peer producers who operate in overlapping scenes. A number of his tracks have been featured on popular underground music channels such as ‘The_accidental_poet’ and ‘FOMH’ receiving over 2,5 million Youtube views.

Using a 1971 Tandberg 4000X reel to reel player (given to him by his grandfather), alongside a collection of found objects used to record the majority of the percussive sounds in the EP, PALENCE has created a unique and personalised set of textures and timbres to use as tools for producing. Running his 1981 Gibson ES-335 through his reel to reel and splicing individual notes into short stabs, he recycled the noises and drenched them with reverb to create bespoke atmospheric synth-like sounds. It would appear that through the multitude of long-winded and atypical methods adopted for the creation of this EP a running theme which connects each of the tracks is precisely the unorthodox ways in which they have been constructed. The EP’s emphasis on hand-crafted sounds and reluctance to rely on any pre-recorded or sampled material is demonstrative of Phaophanit’s desire to separate himself from a rapidly growing scene of sample-heavy production, whilst simultaneously displaying his enthusiasm for original and pioneering methods of creating music. 

Inspired by post-rock and slowcore melodies, PALENCE cites influences such as Explosions In The Sky and Low, as well as the likes of artists such as Aphex Twin, Duster, Bluetile Lounge, drip-133 to name a few.

Memorex Memories says: "In Glasgow, the summer typically lasts the best part of a week and if you're one of the many people unfortunate enough to have a day job, you’re going to see most of it through the office window. I used to work this really sh***y office job and whenever it became too much for me (which was often the case) I used to look at photos of these perfect Miami beaches and attempt to project myself to that location. Almost like a mental vacation.

These idyllic, pictures of purple skies that seemed to be drenched in an eternal amber twilight so thick it was palpable.

That's what I wanted to capture in this track. I wanted to take the listener on a brief mental vacation."

Put that into FL Studio, found a cool RnB acapella and chopped it up, and the rest is history. Worked on it that entire weekend and finally re-opened and finished it a few months ago. [PREMIERE] Juche - May Not Be

Melbourne-based UK native @edapollo is electronic producer, instrumentalist and visual artist Ed Bidgood

Following on from last years "Daylight" EP release and his recent HypeMachine no. 1 remix for @Koresma, Ed is back with the first new material from his debut full-length album "Endless Cascades" due out this August. The release comes in the form of double A-side single 'Aurora' and 'Silk Spirals' which show the more house-leaning side of Ed's sound. Both tracks blur the lines between the dance floor and chill out, weaving, spiralling and taking the listener on a unique journey through his world.

The track artwork was created by edapollo.

Oscuro emerged in 2014 after winning a Beatport Play contest for Tears For Fears and a subsequent release on Universal - "Pale Shelter" and a subsequent release on Universal. His debut album Can't Stop Now followed in 2015 with singles featured on The Line Of Best Fit, THUMP and EDM.com's chill imprint. 

The follow up to Can't Stop Now was 2016's All In My Mind with singles premiered on EARMILK, CLASH, DISCOBELLE & The Line Of Best Fit. The eponymous single ‘All In My Mind’ was playlisted by Spotify's "Fresh Finds" and “Fresh Finds Basement” and has amassed over 100,000 plays on Spotify. 
  
So far in 2019 Oscuro has released tracks that have found their way onto audiovisual blogs such as Fae Child and features on blogs such as comeherefloyd as well as a slot on the new café del mar chillwave 3 compilation.

‘Sitting on my own’ has an incredibly soothing beat and melodic vocals that will transport you to another stratosphere. The song has been masterfully produced and Oscuro has created a beautiful synergy between the vocals and the beat that can’t be matched.

Oscuro had this to say about his latest remix, "... I wanted to remix my latest track 'Sitting On My Own', the original is an end of summer tune that is uplifting but has hints of sadness. I wanted to take the remix in a direction more in line with my general style, more atmospheric with chillstep influences..."
