Innerhalb von zwei Wochen schrieb der aus Sheffield stammende @itsyarni den Kern seines Albums „Entkommen“ zusammen: „Das war über die Weihnachtszeit im Jahr 2015, der Rest wurde bis zum Frühjahr letzten Jahres fertig.“ Als er die Entscheidung traf, den Longplayer zu schreiben, fühlte er sich immer mehr frustriert, Musik zu produzieren, die für den Dancefloor ausgerichtet ist: „Mein Background mit Hinblick auf die Musik stammt aus der Zeit in Rock-Bands.“ Longplayer seien integral für Künstler, um ihren Sound und ihre Ideen zu präsentieren. „Dieser Gedankenprozess, den ich mit mir getragen habe, als ich vom Musiker zum Produzenten überging, fühlte sich nur natürlich an. Und dies wollte ich in einer breiteren Klangpalette ausdrücken“, so der Brite. (...)
