If one thing gets old DJs shouting at clouds, it's "covers of songs that no one should cover". The 2024 remix of that is Afro-house covers of songs... Well, as you know, we love a good cover at Glasgow Underground, but we thought an Afro-House version of Last Christmas would be too much. But then JOHANNSON went and made one, and EVERYONE from Alex Wann to Black Coffee realised that it was ESSENTIAL. His bootleg, despite being just two weeks old is flying on Soundcloud. We wanted more than just that, though, so, in the quickest turnaround we've ever done and with one of the finest vocals we have heard, here is JOHANNSON with his spell-binding version of the classic "Last Christmas". Holidaying in Dubai this winter just got SOOOO MUCH BETTER.

Producer and multi-disciplinary artist mïus is returning with his latest single ‘Worthy’ featuring the ethereal vocals of HALOSARA, out 21 November 2025 via Théque Records. 

Over six albums, mïus, the live audio-visual project of Gergely Álmos, has become a mainstay in the European electronic scene, earning acclaim from tastemaker publications such as Mixmag, CLASH Magazine, Vice, DJ Mag Spain, Faze Mag, and When We Dip, alongside airplay on BBC Radio 6, Rinse FM, and KCRW to name a few. Boasting over a million streams on Spotify alone, his highly-praised catalogue has attracted remixes from Brandt Brauer Frick, Vessels, and Robot Koch. With releases on major labels such as Sonar Kollektiv, mïus has also landed editorial selection spots on Bandcamp, Spotify’s TOP 50 UK and TOP 50 GERMANY, and a premiere on Mixmag’s YouTube channel for the video of his track ‘Strobe and Noise’.

“If you ever have walked through the corridors of a music school, you will hear piano and other instruments resonating from a distance or from behind walls and doors.  This past October, I had just finished releasing some projects and took a break to write something new.  As I was composing, I had feelings of nostalgia, echoes of the past, places I have been, walking through music school halls, etc and they all came together into this track,  I used effects and distortion to bring out that nostalgic.  “Places” came out of that weekend session. I then went through some old photos from places I have been to create the simple collage for the cover art.”
