Amongst all the social media orientated posturing and the constant attention seeking, I set up 'The Print' Podcast series as something against the grain. I like to personally ask people to contribute a little something to the people to listen to. 

No deadlines, no promotion agenda. If you send me something, I will listen to it and consider it, especially if you contact me in a more personal way than your standard spam message, they are easy to spot.

Whether it is from some unknown guys, established names or people on the up. The purpose of this series purely for the music, so credit has to go to them for the time they invested.

The mixes will be public and there for everybody to see.  I am strictly against spamming, quality has its own natural way of spreading. Tracklists are a MUST to credit the enormous hardwork of the producers.

Welcome to the 22th Deep Electronics Podcast mixed by Esh. Esh mixed a HQ deep techno set with deep textures and rolling basses. His mix is the thirth set in the serie of podcasts with a more deeper and darker sounds especially for the dark winter months. So Enjoy!!!

Floating between Amsterdam and Bristol, Esh has recently been involved in a few projects around the scene. He is host of the Technoise Print Podcasts, with artists such Ness, Deepbass, Kwarts amongst others. In recent months he has moved towards the deeper and more atmospheric style of techno, especially for podcasts. Experimenting with various sub-genres of techno of all different types of sounds and speeds can bring a unique sound to mix. He also likes to do a little bit of promotion and music journalism for platforms such as Subsekt and Core Magazine.

'Thot' and 'Canines' definitely have to be two of my most played tracks in the last few months. What an incredible vinyl. Really atmospheric, textured, cultured techno with a definite taste of deep lush melodies. I don't know which side of the vinyl I like work more, I don't even know which side of the sleeve I like best.  Gaspard de La Montagne came about through this incredible release by 'Creaked'.

The mix is a nice blend of upbeat greaves that can definitely put on a sinister edge, a very nice blend of techno, house and detroit all into one. Really nice mix to offset this horrible winter weather.

Ness became interested in electronic music in the late 90's. Few years later he started djing, taking inspiration from various genres going from trance to pure experimentation. The interest in music led him to attend various courses as audio engineer or the conservatory of his hometown in Italy for some years. The need to express himself through music led him to experiment and research, the result in recent years that reflects better his music is increasingly focused on the atmosphere that is intertwined with a hypnotic rhythm.Since 2009 he founded his own label Mono Records that take the name from his own record store where he used to work since 2007 with his friend Bettosun; and releases music in labels such as Prologue, Synewave, Sonata and Varianz. The experience gained through the years leads to define his DJ sets that are characterized by a strong array of Techno and House at the same time.

Smoke Machine Podcast 040 Ness

Dynamic Reflections digital-only counterpart unveils its eighth release so far, a collab between Deepbass and Ness, featuring remixes from Conrad van Orton, Obtane and Ascion.
Original track Distance is a fine piece of sinister, droning soundscape techno suited neatly for longer sets that require time to build. The result of their first joint effort shows both producers have a keen ear for groove and subtlety and are able to translate it into intelligent, powerful material.
The first remix is delivered by Conrad van Orton, who manages to make the original version of Distance sound almost laidback. A continually present rapid kick-like sound serves as both a driving bass and basis for van Ortons version. Add some spacey, gated noises to the deal and it is pretty much sealed. If you thought Mike Parkers remix for Abstract Division was awesome, then this is one for you!
Zooloft label-boss Obtane reworks Distance into something different all-together. Broken and gritty, his rework contains stabbing, panning sounds and seemingly floating background noise. As a whole it gives the impression of a large machine slowly building momentum making for a wicked track for DJs looking to create that eerie point of rest in a set.
Ascion adds his shuffled take on Distance, which showcases the Italian producers remarkable skill at creating tension and atmosphere using only a minimal amount of sounds. When used right this could be both a great tool or a special moment in any dark set. Solid as always!
To complete the release Deepbass and Ness added a bonus track. Like it was not a strong package already!? With Proximity they continue the line of Distance. Deep and dark kickdrums, ambient drones and smooth programmmed percussion is how they blend this all together into just another great masterpiece.

Punto Kokous and Verso Pohjois which have a mixed Italian and Finnish translation of Meeting Point and Direction North. Both tracks are focused on deep atmospheric techno, with dark haunting atmospheres. everything Informa Records stands for.
Their concept for the release was simply to exchange sounds and influence with each other and in doing so they created something very special.
Also on the release we have a momentous remix from Edit Select (Electric Deluxe, Stroboscopic Artefacts) And a deep brooding remix by label boss Deepbass.

DEEPBASS - Scotland

Deepbass was introduced to the scene in 2009 his music is best described as deep, dark, atmospherical techno.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland. His passion for electronic music started from a young age where he would spend his weekends in record stores hunting for music, he discovered artists like Speedy J and Jeff Mills who really opened his eyes to the world of techno.

He started producing music in 2008 and from there his sound evolved, always minimalistic, elements of ambient, hypnotic rhythms and deep rolling bassline's.

In 2010 he launched his label Informa Records as a platform to express himself and to explore further into his brand of deep techno

NAX ACID - Italy

Nax Acid aka Andrea Ruffino, born in 1982, started playing electronic music when he was 17, after hearing classic early Aphex Twin albums. Since then he started collecting vinyl and playing every kind of electronic music from hardcore to electro, from drum & bass to techno. In 2004 he started making deep minimal, acid and Detroit techno influenced tracks. In 2005 moved to London from his native Italy and started to work for ‘disappear here’ record label (Kompakt) started by Chris Spero and Antony Sergeant. His first release in December 2006, “Friends & Crocodiles” which was well received on the underground London techno scene. Since 2007 he has started to put together his own label project called Aconito Records. "The label is a sonic experiment with techno, minimal and with ambient and electronica, to create a new atmospheric techno voyage, which also works on the dance floor".
Andrej Naxovich _Andrej Naxovich is a side project of the Italian Dj/Producer Andrea Ruffino aka nAX_acid. The project rise to discover new way of creating and composing sounds. The aim is to experiment and push to the limit the sound and create new sonic shapes of sound and music. The project is not defined by a specific genre but to range in all modern experimental and electroacoustic genres, from minimalism to ambient. It also includes an investigation in sound contextualizing among space (real and virtual), structure and time, to go against the stativity of modern and contemporary music and try to create a “new sonic environment”.

After looking further into Ness's music and discovering his more experimental and melodic side, especially 'The God's Planet' stuff with Claudio PRC, I decided to pull out some of the tunes i've been holding onto for a while. Expect a slowly evolving deep, dark and melodic mix to warm up for Ness. His mix is from his live recording in Nice so it has all the energy you expect from a live set as well as keeping true to his style.

Lenzman's success as a Drum & Bass producer should come as no surprise, his sound having coalesced from Hiphop and an infatuation with Soul music to become one of the forerunners in liquid soul. In 2010 Lenzman's talent as an artist came to a head when he released 'Open Page' with Riya on Goldie's seminal Metalheadz label, a vocal collaboration that would continue to be a much-loved aspect of his sound. 

Lenzman's eclectic style was championed as a breath of fresh air for the scene and his career began to snowball. He has played headline gigs and festivals across the world earning respect from some of the greatest names in Drum & Bass, including Marcus Intalex and DJ Friction. 2013 promises even bigger things as he gears up to unveil his debut full-length release. Watch out for Lenzman's album 'Looking At The Stars', which will drop later this year on Metalheadz.

Alex Tomb brings us this edition of Technoise. Was browsing through some stuff and one of his mixes really stood out and he was playing some things that I am really liking at the moment.

This is a quality mix and I didn't really know what to expect after a nice relaxed introduction. Then it exploded into life. Great little episode

Originally started in the Hiphop scene, Dan crafted his style and microphone skills with approval of local soundsystems. When long time confidant Lenzman introduced Dan to Drum & Bass he found a new passion and began to start making a name in the Dutch scene. To broaden his horizon Dan explored different genres and performed at all the top Dutch venues and festivals. Dan Stezo released tracks Dan Stezo released music on various Dutch imprints such as BMKLTSCH RCRDS, Hardsoul Pressings and Spinnin Records.
