Very interesting. Currently in Nepal and I went to Ama Dablam base camp just to see it. Huge base camp setup and lots of climbers. After hearing this I can't imagine the bottlenecks and problems that are probably happening.

These tracks guided me on my "dusty journey" at burning man 2022. It was a challenging experience because I chose to challenge myself. The title is also appropriate because the set takes you on a journey.  The set has ups & downs, just like my desert experience & our lives. 

These are the tracks I love- that move me from the inside out. I recorded a version of this set and played in my headphones during my quiet times on the playa. When I wanted to hear specific beautiful music that I couldn't find out there. When I rode around thinking about my life and the beauty and magic of the playa.  Whether happy, struggling, or needing comfort... these were my go-to. This was my playa soundtrack. 

They were comforting and imbued joy & hope in my heart and mind. This music grounded me while also lifting me up. 

This is the set I planned to play at Burningman if the opportunity presented itself. Tracks that transition from the darkness of the night to the first glow of light... to welcome in the new day. 

When I returned home and reflected on the experience, I opened a bottle of Champagne and let the music flow. (please forgive a couple sloppy levels/transitions... 2 bottles of Champagne aren't a performance enhancer)I didn't realize I played for 2.5hrs until the last track was finished. It was a beautiful experience & I hope you can hear the emotion in the music. It is from my heart.

Playing this set at Burning Man 2023 was a truly unforgettable experience, and it happened on Thursday night, just before a wild storm hit. Playing for friends and fellow burners in the desert was an absolute joy, making the night before the rain even more extraordinary. We did not anticipate that we'd weather the storm for three days, but as it raged on, it created a unique sense of unity and resilience. When the sun finally pierced through the clouds, it felt like a genuine desert rebirth for all of us. 

I want to express my deep gratitude to @sabda-music-official for generously sharing his unreleased tracks with me; they added an enchanting dimension to the night. <3

In April of 2023, Michael Habicht headed over to Nepal to climb the striking 6,812 meter tall mountain, Ama Dablam. As a solo climber, he was met with some unique challenges and learned a ton from his expedition. After Michael got back from this trip he made the decision not to climb 8,000 meter peaks because of the experience he shares on this episode.
