For this month's oneiric journey, we're joined by @feargaloconnell , the very wonderful founder of the Dublin-based collective @fuaimdub . Feargal's mix is a spellbinding concoction of arboreal ambience, glittering psychedelia and rolling trance. An hour of pure bliss!

Hello I am Sophie. She/Her. I currently reside in Berlin.

How did you get your DJ name? 

I was checking out old Claire’s merch on the internet from way back when. They use to have tiaras that said Diva Rebecca, Diva Stephanie, Diva Tiffany etc. :3

Favorite musical memory? 

The moment when i played the Stairway To Heaven guitar solo flawlessly

Advice for being productive with music? 

Don’t get caught up. 

What was your first gig? How did it go? 

My first gig was with my first band MT-40 at Honey Lounge in Vancouver. There was about 10 people there (the tru heads)  We forgot to bring a stand for our keyboards and had to steal some stuff from a construction site. After 2 songs our amps stopped working. It was exhilarating !

Do you have any upcoming releases/gigs? 

Heading to North America for January! Can’t wait! <3

VIII ~ Mr. Assister ~ "Perpetual"

As one of the forces behind @ute-rec and one half of Accelerationism, Oslo based DJ, promoter and label head @mariusbo’s singular, trance-infused sound feels both fresh and profoundly nostalgic. 

Starting in 2017 with highly curated open air raves in his native Norway as part of the Uteklubb collective, both Marius and the group have continued to evolve, with the inception of their Ute Rec imprint in 2019 representing the fruition of the group's distinctive sound aesthetic. A string of influential releases from @oprofessionell, The Dosadi Experiments and @mikkel-rev, alongside the high-profile Accelerationism CDs that have seen them collaborate with the likes of @alpha-tracks-official, @s-o-n-s and @sunjuhargun, plus a VA fundraiser alongside @amniote-editions have helped Marius and Ute Rec to quickly garner a global audience, giving them a platform to share their unique vision of psychedelic contemporary trance.

Hitting like a deep, rejuvenating breath in the open air, Marius' Patterns of Perception 92 is a pulsating, private moment for emotions and reflections to cascade and flow. 
Evoking the serene, iridescent embrace of the chill-out room, this mix floats weightlessly in the aether between psychedelic downtempo and ambient trance -  a shimmering assembly of textures and inspirations, both new and old. It is a space for closed eyes, kaleidoscopic perception and slow heart rates - a tonic for the mind, body and soul.

"I recorded this mix just as clubs were finally opening up again here in January and I think a lot of the tracks that came through were a reflection of what I wanted to hear out on a proper club system. There’s some early goa records I picked up over the summer (lots of them inspired by parties like SUB:SYSTEM, Whomp, etc.) and a lot of the more modern sounds from Aussie producers and labels like Jon Jones, DMO, Reflex Blue, etc. Hope you enjoy!"

SOLACE SPACE 003 ✼ FEARGAL

A very special treat for number seventy two. Presenting a live recording of DJ Camov's set at my favourite party in Naarm, Tech World, last month. Grant soundtracked the sunny February afternoon with a boss selection of the classiest house, tech house and prog records... 

Grant is a Melb deejay icon, having frequented clubs, raves and park parties for the last decade in a chameleon like fashion. He now resides in Copenhagen and also djs under his deep diving trance alias @goasis

So excited to share one this one, one of my favourite club sets as of late!

Steffan Todorovic is a Danish-Montenegrin selector based in Tallinn. Since 2013 he has been organizing events, with artists such as central, Funk D'Void, Peggy Gou, Dj Sports, and many more. After relocating to Estonia in 2018 Steffan launched the Gestalt Records and Hidden Assetsimprints, as well as co-founding Coymix Ltd alongside Timo Deeprhythms of Echocentric Records.
