04061 is a Berlin-based artist and DJ Sergei Makarov. Previously releasing deep techno works on Space textures, Nferee and Intersum, 04061 is currently involved in co-curating experimental label BLENDE HUB, part of Cologne/Berlin based platform Instinkt lab, while continuing to work on experimental techno sound in the background. As a part of BLENDE HUB, 04061 focuses on ambient and drone selection, prioritising storytelling and emotion in his sets.

« Lorsque j’ai mis ma dernière track, « Yulunga », j’ai senti une vraie osmose s’installer entre le lieu mystique du festival, le public et la musique… L’intro de ce son est assez longue et peut évoquer une traversée du désert, ou comme signifie le titre, « une danse spirituelle ». C’est exactement ce qu’il s’est produit face à moi. One year on from Life Isn’t A Fountain? - the Lex Records EP where archival post-punk was reanimated through meticulous sample-work - the elusive producer U returns with a project that reaches further back and digs far deeper. On ARCHENFIELD, U turns their attention to the Herefordshire borderlands, where English and Welsh histories intermingle and where myth, memory and landscape blur into one another. The album unfolds like auditory time travel: fourteen tracks built from traditional song, home-taped fragments and scraps pulled from television, radio, film and YouTube, all woven into a drifting folkloric reverie.

Rather than simply excavating the past, U examines how stories mutate through retelling, how landscapes carry collective memory, and how folklore persists in the messy ways people inhabit a place. If Life Isn’t A Fountain? channelled Thatcher-era discontent through a cracked post-punk prism, ARCHENFIELD widens the lens to probe the fragile relationship between identity and the rural environments that shape it. Dusty pianos, murmuring drones and spectral voices evoke a modern England increasingly severed from the histories beneath its feet.

To mark the release, U delivers IA MIX 397, a journey through post-punk, new wave and wayward micro-scenes. Mining forgotten corners of their collection, U mirrors the album’s central question: how the remnants of one era can speak powerfully to the uncertainties of another.

For this edition of u n r u s h, we welcome an artist I’ve known for years through Berlin and the music that connects us. Red Rooms has been on my list for a while, and I’m glad the timing finally aligned.

Over the past years, he has steadily shaped his place in the city’s electronic and techno scene with a minimalist, hypnotic, and always fresh approach—usually leaning into faster, mystical techno with subtle dub influences.

For this mix, he shifts the focus: the kick drums step aside, opening space for gentler, more radiant, soothing soundscapes with a hint of rhythmic elements—still unmistakably framed by the Red Rooms aesthetic.

With a growing body of releases, DJ and live sets, and strong support from the scene, Red Rooms is an artist to keep on your radar. This mix reveals a softer layer of his world, without losing any depth.

Antoine alias Ocyra is an emerging force in the global techno scene, crafting hypnotic soundscapes that blur the lines between industrial minimalism and euphoric peak-time energy. Born from a deep fascination with the intersection of technology and human emotion, Ocyra’s sonic palette draws from dystopian futurism while maintaining an undeniable connection to the dancefloor. Antoine already played in some of the best clubs like Club Vent and Dommune in Tokyo, Garage Noord in Amsterdam ,Macadam in Nantes or Batofar (Paris).
With roots in underground rave culture, Ocyra has developed a signature sound characterized by driving basslines, intricate percussion programming, and atmospheric textures that transport listeners into otherworldly sonic territories. Its productions seamlessly weave together elements of techno, ambient interludes, and experimental sound design, creating immersive experiences that challenge conventional genre boundaries.
