Matty Teflon is an up and coming artist from Cambridge, Mass combining production skills with top notch lyrical ability on the mic. His entirely self-produced full length release “While You Were Sleeping” is an exercise in hip hop versatility as Matty plays all positions from behind the boards to in front of the mic.





“While You Were Sleeping means everyone who doubted me was sleeping – and while they’re sleeping I’m taking over,” Matty says. Matty backs up his confidence with a debut release that offers a wide variety of sounds – from the grimy boom bap of “Dry Seeds” to the bouncy, raunch of “Came to F@#$.”





Matty credits his diverse sound to a wide array of influences. An early influence was his father - a veteran guitar player Matty credits with inspiring him. Matty has also been a frequent collaborator of Boston hip hop artist Wally Sparks, the host and only featured guest on While You Were Sleeping.





He is ready to push his sound further in December with the release of his Wide Awake mixtape –made solely on the synthesizer. After years playing the musical background, Matty Teflon's versatile talents are pushing him to hip hop’s forefront.
