Born out of a love for Ngunnawal/Ngambri's beautiful surrounds, a passion for music, and an aversion to UV rays, Sunburn began as a good excuse to get outside and listen to loud music. Our aim was to reduce the barrier to entry for people to enjoy, create and perform music and art in a scene which often takes itself too seriously. 

As the years have come and gone both the events and the soundsystems have gotten bigger. The fun has remained and we hope it does for many more years to come. In this way we hope to foster diversity and add to the strength of the music and arts scene.

The Turning Tables Podcast - S02, E05: Canberra House Social

Flexing spaced out electro cuts, Canadian duo Minor Sine Project are back with their 5 track EP “Stitch in Time.” Tracks such as “Edge of Glory” and “A Stitch in Time” simulate expansive, acid dripped worlds with plenty of low end to shake the bass bins. “Stretched Thin” displays MSP’s penchant for creating sonic blends of modern breakbeat and 4x4 rhythms. Both energy and tempo are brought up another notch on “One for the Road” and “Warp Speed,” with each track further proving that Minor Sine Project will continue to twist and bend genres while always applying plenty of that signature groove to each work.

Cat’s sound has been regularly displayed on capital soundwaves since debuting last year for kinetics. Her energy-packed sets have featured on Gross Motor Play and Sunburn, as well as on support for artists such as Kettama and DJ Boring. Cat has emerged as a regular in the ACT.

Bristol-based producer Gilbert steps into the time machine with this wonderful EP that sonically and spiritually connects to the early works of Warp pioneers such as B12, LFO and Speedy J. 

The first track Ylem starts with a strong kick but is nevertheless a subtle builder that directs you straight to deep space. Shift the Focus, the opener on the flip, may well be the EP’s most suitable track for the (dreamy) dance floor - the cut’s dense melodies and subtle 303 flavours work well with Gilbert’s rhythm section and would slowly but surely draw you into a psychedelic swamp when played in a club. The tracks Lucid Dream and Are We Alone are even a bit more otherworldly and fitted for an armchair listen. A big tip for anyone into layered, mind-bending UK techno!

his track called « Do It » since this summer on Don’t Need A Million records.

Dav Storm is now releasing his first 4 tracks EP project, Heavily influenced by dreamlike universes, developing a deep style melted with housed fueled ambiant approach, lo-fi house type indeed.

The EP evolves itself from the quiet and the peace pace towards some heavier melodic drum
& bass register, until the final blow which signes his return to the sources with a loaded 90’s
house alike track.
