What is the first thing you do when you get home after a 13 hour flight and with a jet lag? I immediately record the mashup I've been thinking about the past few weeks, obviously.

I call this genre Trip House, like in trip hop, but instead of hop it's house. The same genuine dread and lethargic exhaustion, only danceable! This set does become more warm and ends on a positive note in the end, much like sunrise in the desert after a cold night. 

These are some of my current favorite tracks and one of my favorite sets I've played.

Downtempo but uplifting electronica with indie elements and an ample dash of Acid.
This set was played at my dad's house camp, during the Brooklyn Takeover party on Thursday night. After the incredible live performance by Mendeleyev and opening for MUISCA and Illich Mujica.

Downtempo - Burning Man 2023

Originally from the country of Georgia, Acid Alien’s (Ana’s) musical upbringing starts with classical music, playing the piano and dancing for the Georgian national ballet, followed by decades of classic rock and post punk revival obsession and culminating with the blooming techno scene in Georgia, specifically techno institution such as Tbilisi’s “Bassiani” the sister club of Berlin’s “Berghain”. She also fully immersed herself in the electronic music scene of Scandinavia, where she lived for 8 years. 
Having lived on multiple continents and explored music genres of all kinds, her music is a reflection of this diverse background. Acid Alien has a signature sound which can range from deep progressive, dark disco, indie dance to techno and downtempo electronica, always with a dash of acid.
Acid Alien is the founder and the resident DJ of the event series, “Alien Invites”, the event series focuses on curating underground electronic music DJ lineups, actively taking the gender inequality in the music industry into account. Meanwhile the "Resident Alien" event series features all-night extended sets by Acid Alien.
Currently Acid Alien is focusing on music production, continuously evolving and advancing her sound.
