Burning Man 2018 Sunrise Set

The Acoustic Guitar Project is a global music platform — and concert series — that inspires musicians to write an original song and record it live in one week. These are the stories of the musicians and their songs. 

In this episode, host, David Gluck, speaks to Crys Matthews, Stefanie Haapala and Robin Viele, three artists in different states who all wrote songs for TAGP inspired by Christine Blasey Ford.

Original songs. Written in a week. Recorded live.

The Acoustic Guitar Project was created to inspire songwriters to make more music. 

Here's how it works:

1. We choose a city and a local musician and provide them with an acoustic guitar and hand held recorder.

2. That musician has one week to record an original song and record it live. No editing is allowed. They have to record it as many times as needed to get it just right.

3. When the musician is finished, they sign the guitar and pass it on to the next musician in that city. When that city’s guitar reaches 5 musicians, there is a concert and every musician plays the song they wrote for the project.
