What a cool and genuine dude Matt is. I met and hung with him after a GnR / Soundgarden show here in Memphis at Rascals while most of the band played Zeppelin for hours me and him sat at a barstool talking about the rock greats, family (he opened up a bit about his parents and siblings and how he missed them on the road) and I told him about all the years, from 73, that I had been playing guitar and my stockpile of Les Pauls and other Gibsons and 70s Marshalls. Finally the late-ass Axl showed up and all 5 got up there and played mostly tunes that didn't make it to the LPs. Matt took over for Duff on drums who was playing all that Zeppelin stuff. Slash obviously knows every Zeppelin song ever written. What a night that was! Glad to hear Matt is doing great and still in the game.
