Christopher Blais/Nordmach – from Windsor, ON Canada – A 5th generation musician who has a love for all styles of music, but was really attracted to the synthesizer when he heard early recordings of Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Yaz, Depeche Mode & Trevor Horn. Chris having played and recorded in Canada and the U.S., originally started out playing keyboards in his fathers band and then quickly got the bug to see what was happening in the local scene. He later found an ad in a local paper for a Top 40 band playing along side now local legends Gordie Johnson/Big Sugar & Robert Wilson/Kim Mitchell. Chris also had the opportunity to produce music for television spots (Caesars, Windsor Tourism, etc), radio and independent film. Chris has been programming music for more than half his lifetime and still has a great passion for programming, creating music and visual media.
Chris has helped many artists and musicians to aid in programming and for live show consultation. Including artists such as: Donny Lyle (Mariah Carey, R. Kelly), Dan Todd (Platinum Blonde, Honeymoon Suite, Glass Tiger), Kenny Greer (Red Rider, Tom Cochrane, Gowan), and many more.

THE BOOK... tentatively titled "ON THE BORDER – A POST-WAR HISTORY OF OUR MUSIC", is in the research stage and with the assistance of publishing house Biblioasis Inc. and the Ontario Arts Council is set for release in the fall of 2014. Our goal is to produce a high quality book intended to be part of the region's official history and musical legacy. We are currently compiling interviews and visual materials that will focus on the border city music scene during the years from the early 1950's to the present.

THE AUTHORS... SCOTTY HUGHES and CHRISTIAN BONK are eager to get your input in the form of stories, anecdotes, photographs, concert posters, newspaper clippings, all manner of memorabilia.
