After Us / Before Us is a dystopian concept 2 tracker reminding us of the fragility of the human race and warning us against our use of technology and how we treat the world around us. In a dark and imposing atmosphere, immersed with psychedelic hypnotic effects, Technoish feel and dramatic powerful build, the story unfolds. Yet it leaves a glimmer of hope with the beautiful melancholic melodies that still retain an optimistic streak.

Today’s very special mix. I didn’t know of this artist until around a little over a year ago. I found this artist  by discovering what’s now one of my favorite record labels ever - Liquid Sound Design @liquidsounddesign
I came back on the grid literally not figuratively in Jan 2017 after being off & gone away for 2.5 yrs. 
I was wondering what one of my fav. bands The Egg 🥚were doing these days; our band Spangle Head had opened up for them 3 times in 1994  UK as well as bumping into each other at #woodstock94 inadvertently we both played. 
 I had lost track of them & Ozrics & that whole British music scene since moving back to NY from UK 95. There was no internet back then u see. So I Googled THE EGG 
& found them on LSD Bandcamp. After that randomly on  YouTube one night I heard this DEEP ELECTRONIC⚡️ acid ambienttechno psydub ambientdub  that stopped me in my tracks literally . Up till this point I wasn’t aware of this new psybient scene or any of it - Shpongle never heard of it. This album  Into Sonic States randomly came on & I was like wow who the Hell is this - that’s the Biggest Production Sound I think I’ve ever heard & Best New type of Dub music; I’ve heard in 25 yrs. I didn’t know what psydub or any of this was. Turned out to be this guy named Gabriel Le Mar totally blew me away. 2 days after that experience I got an unexpected friend acceptance from Gab Le Mar - I hadn’t remember even sending it; I had no idea who he was. I was like wow that’s some crazy synchronicity. So I introduced myself & told him my experience, hearing his music for first time recently & how impressed - knocked out I was. He was very polite & cordial & appreciative. I knew he was a real musician & not one of these electronic DJ posers when I posted about James Jamerson from Motown he responded to the post. Course Gab is a guitarist. Make a long story short; we became friends, I bravely mentioned to him I had 3 tracks on #forevershpongled as Zman8 & he could check it out if he wanted. Now I’m so glad to call Gabriel a friend. As far as friends go, u won’t find anyone more genuine. Especially in this music business or life in general. He has continued to be there for me like an older brother & completely gracious if I’m confused technically or spiritually & emotionally about all this music & scene etc. & ask him questions. He always lays it out either elaborately & will break it all down like a scientist with an analogy to the construction of a Alfred Hitchcock plot to talk about disclosing publicly what music Gear u use  or with one sentence to the point he’ll alleviate my emotional turmoil by just getting to the heart 💜 of the matter. Tandava or Nrtya Tandava, the divine art form, is a dance performed by Lord Shiva and Parvati. The tandava of Shiva is vigorous dance which is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution. While Rudra Tandava depicts his violent nature, first as the creator and later as the destroyer of the universe, even death itself; Ananda Tandava depicts him as enjoyed its creation - the universe. Mr. Shiva as Nataraja is the supreme lord of the dance.

Tandava, as practiced in dance and drama is vigorous and energetic movements. Made with joy, called Ananda Tandava dance. Made of violent humor, is called Rudra Tandava dance.

Tandava o Nrtya Tandava, la forma de arte divina, es una danza realizada por el señor Shiva y Parvati. El tandava de Shiva es la danza vigorosa que es la fuente del ciclo de la creación, de la preservación y de la disolución. Mientras que Rudra Tandava representa su naturaleza violenta, primero como el creador y más adelante como el destructor del universo, incluso de la muerte sí mismo; Ananda Tandava lo representa como el disfrutados de su creación -  el universo. El señor Shiva como Nataraja es el señor supremo de la danza.

Tandava, como se practica en la danza y drama tiene movimientos vigorosos y energéticos. Realizado con alegría, se llama la danza Ananda Tandava. Realizado en humor violento, se llama la danza Rudra Tandava.
