Named after a track by legendary bluesman Howlin’ Wolf. They’re from Liverpool, consist of Benn Helm (vocals, guitar) and Andy Paton (electronics, trumpet) and are recent signings to legendary London label, Wall of Sound.

Killaflaw have been likened to a number of other acts – “like Led Zep meet the Chemical Brothers”, “the missing link between Soundgarden and The Prodigy” – but really they have a sound that is uniquely their own.

‘Revolution’, won Xfm’s Demo Of The Year award, and then a low-key release of the ‘Set Me On Fire’ single organically spread around the world and topped the DMC charts in the US. It was played on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, NME Radio, Xfm London and many other independent stations, and Utah Saints produced a remix of this track. There are now more than 100 home-made YouTube videos that use ‘Set Me On Fire’ as a soundbed – strong indication of its grass roots popularity.

Killaflaw have played played at UK festivals such as Glastonbury (West Dance), Bestival (Big Top), Secret Garden Party (Temple of Boom), Glade (Main Stage), Beat Herder (Main Stage) amongst others various London venues such as Koko, Brixton Jamm and Proud, they have also performed at MTV, BBC and Filter Magazine shows. On the continent, Killaflaw have played at Kazantip in Ukraine, Pravda in Moscow, Bodrum Carnival in Turkey and toured in Germany and the Czech Republic.

In the summer of 2010 they were joined by former Pendulum and Apollo 440 drummer Paul Kodish for several festival shows, and their single ‘Happy Daze’ was released on Westway Records in April 2011.

Their debut release on Wall of Sound, the "Broken Idol EP" was released in November 2013 and featured Freq Nasty and DDPLGNGRS on remix duties. The Killaflaw Remix of Bloody Beatroots ft Paul McCartney was released through NY heavyweights Ultra. 

They are currently gearing up for their 2nd release and album due for release on Wall of Sound this year.

Andrea Ljekaj is a multi-award-winning musician, producer, and artist known for his diverse and innovative style. A true creative nomad—born in Belgrade, shaped in Berlin, and now based in Zagreb—Andrea creates works that transcend boundaries, merging different cultures and influences. His artistry has taken him to numerous global and European destinations, including London, Berlin, Hamburg, Venice, Dubai, Ibiza, Münster, Leipzig, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Ljubljana, and many other cities.

Throughout his career, Andrea has collaborated with iconic artists such as Josipa Lisac, bands Chui and Mangroove, producer Insolate, and Brian Cid, expanding his sonic universe across genres and styles. He has also held residencies at prestigious events and venues, including Sonus Festival, clubs in Berlin and London, and the Bloop Radio residency in London.

In 2019, he began collaborating with the Berlin-based record label Get Physical Music on the Croatia Gets Physical project, aimed at promoting local artists through a series of releases and events across Croatia.

He founded ATJE, a unique concept and record label dedicated to contemporary music and design. In early 2025, he released the critically acclaimed album “Terapiya”, featuring twelve original compositions created at the ATJE studio in Zagreb. The album made a significant impact, garnering attention from both domestic and international media. Beyond the music itself, Andrea designed the visual identity of the label and the Terapiya album while also launching complementary products such as t-shirts, prints, matches, and ATJE chocolate—a fusion of top-tier Croatian design, music, and culinary artistry.

In 2025, Andrea expanded into film music, composing the score for the Croatian film “Krsnik”, marking a new chapter in his creative journey.

With his distinctive artistic approach, innovative creativity, and relentless drive to push boundaries, Andrea Ljekaj is a name that continues to res- onate on the global stage.
